About this oshimen saga.

My take is Oshimen shot himself in the foot by commiting to another contract with huge release clause because of a pay rise.
And now that he is deemed surplus to requirement he should be realistic with himself because he is not the player he think he is, that is explained by the fact that he was made available from the first day of the transfer window and no serious suitor till the last week of the window.

Chelsea are skeptical about him because of his injury records and his adaptation to possession football (that explains why PSG also moved past him despite big injury to one of their striker) hence the reason for the loan enquiry and not permanent transfer.

If Chelsea were to offer him permanent transfer then he has to reduce his wages, so that it will be easy to move him on if he fail to adapt because him earning over 200k weekly after tax in Italy and wanting to keep that in UK will cost any team in England close to 450k before tax, a commitment I don't think any England team is ready to do right now (explain why arsenal didn't pursue the deal).

It's now his decision to make either he chooses Saudi (with al ahli bid almost accepted by ADL) or agree to reduce his wages to stay in Europe (UK especially) because i don't see Chelsea paying him almost X2 of our highest earner (pre tax).

I can gradually see some improvements, he can still do better with releasing the ball as at when due. It seems unlike Pochettino, Maresca talks to each player on their weaknesses and drill them.

You’ve spoken well, this is my sentiment too on having a powerful number 9 with less technicality and interplay. Jackson will be prolific soon, he is good in other area which massively help the team. Our two based midfield is a concern except Lavia stay fit or Caceido actually turn up like late last season. Enzo can really flourish too if he improve on being strong with the ball when marked.

He wasn't the one that asked me to request for Sterling to be chased away in order for Madueke to be playing regularly and a new LWF to be bought.

Teams will start to sit deep against us and double up on Madueke and other winger, that's where a prolific striker will be crucial. I believe Maresca can't be deceived by yesterday's result as Wolves thought we would be wasteful like last season and left their rear.
