why dont you ask your wife to choose any phone within the budget that you have?! at least she will be happy with her choice and wont complain if the phone is shiit (since she picked it)

speaking from experience...if you bought the 1st phone, then that phone should be cherished like a diamond, even if they made 10 better phones after that. if it was broken along the way or lost along the way then YOU choose a replacement phone for her (not her).

My point was that if she ever intends to change the phone, your money will still be spent, regardless of who chose the first phone (meaning that OP should get the right advice and get the best phone, instead of leaving the choice to his wife with the idea that he has satisfied her).

Of course she's your wife, if she asks for another phone, and knows you can afford it without compromising, she has to get it to fulfill all righteousness.

my idea of her choosing the phone is if i didnt buy the 1st one that we are now replacing... but if i bought the 1st one then whatever happened to it has to be put into consideration, before i buy the replacement. so if 1st phone was lost or broken by madame (i will buy a basic phone); if the 1st one was used for couple of years and died a natural death, then i would choose a similar phone, and if the 1st phone is still intact and working but i just wanted to reward madame with a gift for all the great years of service she provided to the family, then she will get an Iphone 15 or S24.

No Samsung phone should be God "for" your wife!
