dapotemi: It seems like you're quite confused, and I can see why some people might criticize your perspective. Many of your statements seem to come from a place of ignorance and bitterness. Let’s set the record straight: Driving is a skill, and drivers are human beings who play a crucial role in society, just like those in any other occupation. I know corporate drivers who earn more than your accounting job—since you mentioned P&L and payroll. According to Payscale.com, the average annual salary of an accountant is ₦1,246,319. There are e-hailing drivers I know who can earn this in just four months. There are also drivers who are well-educated (even with bachelor’s degrees) and family-oriented, thriving in the e-hailing industry. Some started with a single hire-purchase car and now own more than three vehicles and continue to expand. Isn’t that a form of growth? Devaluation doesn’t just affect drivers—it affects everyone who earns in naira. Unless your accounting job pays you in USD, you’re impacted too. So stop with the ignorance and bitterness, and enough with comparing full-time driving to a 9-to-5 job. Yes, driving for long periods has its downsides, but the same can be said for staying in a job for years. I know people who feel trapped and depressed in their 9-to-5 jobs. The beauty of owning or running a business is having control over your time. You can choose when to work and take holidays as you please. That kind of freedom isn’t available in a 9-to-5. I come from a corporate background and have held top positions (still do), and I tell my drivers, business partners, and other entrepreneurs that I envy them—not for the money they make, but for the time they have for themselves. Lastly, how many wealthy people do you know who are tied to a 9-to-5 job? As long as you are happy in your profession, it puts food on your table, and it’s enough to take care of your family and loved ones—you are doing just fine. 19 Likes 3 Shares |

dapotemi: And you have been shalaying since 2: 55am to 4:16am 😂 no rest for the wicked. Isaiah 48 : 22. Dapo I won’t place curse on you, at least not yet. Else, peace of mind will elude you for the rest of your life. Like wanderers, you’ll keep wandering for no reason. Note! I say not yet, just keep letting your cloud of rain to gather till I fully unleash on you. Driver! Driver!! Driver!!! I didn’t even want to touch that, because it is baseless. Crazy how your app maybe on now, while I am still in bed, using my meditation time to reply you. When you get to your riders place and the person tells whoever the driver is here. Tell them no! It’s the accountant, not the driver. Can you see how f**lish you’ve been ranting? I am a driver and I hold my badge with pride. A successful one at that and I don’t even drive much again. The hustle is behind me, the days of driving outweigh the days left behind wheel as ehailling champ. God spare my soul, could careless about yours (I don’t play pretense around animals). I have siblings, non is into ehailling. Same you have a brother on ehailling and a friend. What have you done to elevate them? Same hustle you try to bring down at will, yet your app can’t go off in a day. 2 face, a mentally unstable and reprobated mind put up a house, they called 22m and he is yet to show the concluding part of the chat. What a silly ba*ger. I am done measuring d*ck here, said that long ago and my life or next move is never for public consumption in anticipation to be seen better. Take a look at nairaland, you’ll barely see me comment on any post or trend than ehailling. The purpose is to elevate and not to bring people down. My stand on ehailling will always be as a means and never the end. Anyone that have the means to japa. When I say means, not just finance, should not hesitate. Even with the so called site you upload (yours or not), people are selling to go have sanity elsewhere. Honestly can’t stop laughing at your f**lery Dapo. The same government you’ve seen nothing wrong is happening to you (react before thinking baby). Anyways I’m in my 30s today, you know your real age. I don’t have time for throwing unreal tantrums. If you think I attack people, maybe you should name them and what transpired. Donbrowser has been on is support for long and I respect his views, even if I don’t buy to it. I’ve never been keen on this government, but my realities are same like yours and any other. Abi you they buy fuel and food stuffs below price for anywhere? You don’t join queue. You’ll feed me and I don’t know where my next meal will come from? 😂 Dapo Abeg use your medication before you leave house. Hope you don get ride sha? Safe drive and don’t beg rider to join them again. Dapo of Afrika! The only driver wey rider order, still come ride with the rider as rider. 3 gbosa for you Elede!!! 9 Likes |

Djdamian: Sometimes when I look at Nigerians, I feel like crying for real and that’s the reason I said he need a mental evaluation. A lot of people don’t understand the meaning of supply chain and how each is of importance to the chain. Fuel attendance was once look at with disdain, but crazy how they became god today. What’s the value of your car without fuel in it? They talk to anyone silly and it’s almost like one is praying to get fuel before they change their mind. While killings are going on up north, people can’t go to farm. Who cares? Today we are having food shortage. Low rain, no proper irrigation. Then we wonder why things are the way they are. If you don’t wear suit & tie, then you probably don’t have a life. Funny 😂 Yesterday I had a deep conversation with a rider. She start with a deep breath, smile and goes off like she remember, the days she used to work on the island and pray for nothing of such again. Then I asked her, but it was once a dream. In her response, it was days of not knowing what it entails, but after covid, she saw there’s no life in it. I smile and Yes! That is our dreams and purpose for going to school, because we always cherish those uncles back then leaving 6am and getting back 9pm. Until reality done on most of us. Have I worked on the island before? Yes. My siblings too? But non of us is outrightly working on the island again. There come a time it is no longer worth it. In fact most of the people I know do that for awhile and japad. A friend of mine still told me last week, they drop their phones when entering the office. That’s at everything one, Oniru. I was like whats that? I honestly don’t care about anyone honest way of living. As long as you are dependent and don’t bother people around yo, with purpose in sight. The guy is just a shame, not like I expected much from him. It’s been awhile coming, so nothing new about him to say. 4 Likes |

dapotemi: Do u see how upset you are because Pope insulted u... That is how upset a lot of people were when u said Tinubu has not changed anything that people have been suffering since 19kokoro. You touched nerves and that was very insensitive A little self retrospection would have helped u talk better and be more sensitive of people's plight. Everyone is taking on d challenge of surviving and moving forward in these hard times, however they want to vent and lament allow people to express themselves. In one breath you are saying u are still struggling in another breath u are saying Tinubu govt is not affecting you. Well that's your opinion, albeit, it is clear its a false one. If what u post here is true, I remember u were adding 1 car to ur fleet yearly between 2019 and 2022, u have also been on a building project for as long as I can remember. You always buy toks, but today u r asking questions about Naija used car for 2.5m and builder is giving u 22m to do block work and roof only. Before 2019, 22m will build u two houses and 2.6m will buy to a sharp toks RX300 or Toyota Camry Muscle. I am pretty sure your salary + income from side hustle has not increased by more than 50% of what it used to be but every single thing in the market has tripled since 2019 till date. So is ur suffering now not higher than ur struggles before? How can u in your own right personal judgement, sound the way u sounded and expect people to tell u well-done. Except u never had or acquired the things u say u did or u are plaqued by the sickness of tribalism and bigotry. U may not want to accept it but that's the truth. Nobody is upset with u for supporting Tinubu, some may be disappointed, but largely people are used to it, however u where inconsiderate to what people are going through and the reality on ground today. By calling someone an ordinary driver when u urself are one.. . is evidence that u may probably not be mentally stable. The house u have not started, many drivers on this thread have completed their houses long time ago. There is nothing u have, that a driver in this thread, have not achieved in life. I did ACCA far back in 2013, PMP in 2014, CBAP 2017. What makes u think in your tiny brain that u are even an inch better than an average driver. Is it because u have a 9-5 job, u travel on office paid trips around Nigeria and that u are building a house Even your MD/CEO is lamenting about the economic situation if not openly but silently and is probably considering how he will downsize to remain afloat and u are here ranting about getting a job and insinuating that somebody that has a job is devoid of complaints and is financially free. Sorry to burst your bubbles but u are on an imaginary high horse, u are still on the same class like the ordinary driver, trying to spite Pope by calling him a driver is cutting off your own nose, it is self destructive. You aren't any better, so humble yourself and think like the educated man that u are. This is not about politics, the urge to feel better than another man or the need to put another man down is witchcraft. 14 Likes |

Quiet frankly, last election was not about Tribe or ethnicity for many people but for some Yoruba people. The Hausas do it and we don't really blame them because of their level of education and exposure. I don't need to highlight that Igbos have always voted for Yoruba and Hausa when the candidate was more credible than the Igbo man in the ballot. Underline the word more credible. In d last election it was clear that the Igbo man on the ballot was more credible and hard less baggage than the Hausa or Yoruba man. Even many Yoruba and hausa people voted for the Igbo man. So u can't gaslight the Igbo man for chosing PO. Rather till tomorrow, decent people should be apologizing for their role in supporting a person with many question marks on his head. just because of tribe or personal gains not minding the bigger Nigerian society. The APC as a party was weaved with the fabric of sectionalism and thread of regionalism. Tinubu said emilokan, awalokan, and as a Yoruba person, if you are not in APC, or support Tinubu then u are not Yoruba enough, u are an omoale. now tell me what more can be defined as a tribal party or sectional candidate? Let's not go into that, we are experiencing the hash reality of our rash decisions since 2015. Even Onokpasa, a strong Tinubu supporter and spokesperson has recently conceded and turned critic that Tinubu is not going about the economy the right way. The story for today is don't think u are better than ur neighbour simply because of societal class of having a 9-5 job or my pay is big. It's nauseating. Many young boys and girls are making ur yearly income in a month doing seemingly odd jobs. The world is changing and its moving fast away from the conventional thinking that u hold dear. 1 Like 1 Share |

Only 2 states in Yorùbá land gave Peter Obi the entire votes that Tinubu got in the whole South-East yet we are the tribalistic ones because we stood for what we want? How does that sound to you?
