You posted this some days back👇👇👇 Hello beautiful people, pls is it advisable to withdraw FSW active application from the pool (CRS 406, low I know) and apply for visiting with same account or one can run both together without affecting one another. Did make an attempt to withdraw your application? Holladoyheen: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bullstriker: 12:34am On Aug 26 |
Yes, they can in certain situations. For example, if you submit the wrong application. Review the correspondence letter. Holladoyheen: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bullstriker: 12:38am On Aug 26 |
Although the chance of getting ITA with a CRS of 406 is zero, you don’t have to withdraw the Express Entry profile as it is not an application and therefore, the issue of dual intent does not apply to you. Duchess102: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bullstriker: 12:40am On Aug 26 |
Yes, it could. I recommend you liquidate it before you reapply. damyzel: |

Duchess102: The express entry profile got expired and I didn't eventually applied via the visit but the study route. So I do not have an active application before extensively packaging my application with well detailed information and documentation assisted by a friend who's an expert in that field. We both have access to my IRCC account is why I'm bothered if IRCC can withdraw ones application themselves or it has to be someone who clicked it from my account. |

I am not looking to have my wife give birth in Canada. I was asking to know if I should update IRCC about my study permit in my wife's visit visa application. We applied for my wife's visit visa in April 2024. Thanks for your input. Got it. kennyjoy: |

When was the application submitted and withdrawn You can raise a webform to ask them, remember not state that a third party helped with the application unless you had filed the consent form when you submitted. You can also request for your gcm note. Your application was withdrawn from your correspondence, it is certainly from your input, either from the information you gave or someone requested for it on your behalf. Holladoyheen: |

A word of advice for everyone pursuing a study visa in Canada. Avoid private universities or public universities with private partnerships as much as you can, they are only after your money. After graduating from such schools, you will not be able to get a job with that degree or diploma as it’s basically worthless. This is because private schools have really bad reputation now, many admit several thousands international students yearly just because of the money since they charge international students about x10 what they charge Canadian Students. Many employers have realized this as well, and more often than not eliminate applicants from these universities during the hiring process. Some notable schools that employers avoid are University Canada West, Cape Breton, Fanshawe, … I would advice to do a thorough research on schools you apply to so you don’t spend all that money, then unable to get a job after graduation and have to return home. Conestoga is one of the schools in this category. Conestoga even with the high fees admitted over 14k international students this past year, many of whom end up not being able to get a job because employers blacklist their resumes. There are several others in similar situation as well. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Maria96: 8:37am On Aug 27 |
Bobomaigida:yes its true. There are many videos online of students in these colleges that can’t even speak good English. The schools are being called diploma mills for a reason. The degrees most times are worthless in the job market https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.7091194 Screenshot is from government of Saskatchewan website. Seeking Advice on Study Permit Application Dilemma My wife is facing a challenging situation with her study permit application for Practical Nursing at St Clair College. Despite submitting her application on July 18, 2024, with an upfront medical, the school is urging her to defer admission to January 2025. However, the January intake does not offer Practical Nursing, and the next available session is September 2025. Her concerns are: 1. Can she defer to January 2025 and take the Pre-Health course without negatively impacting her IRCC application? 2. Should she wait until September 2025 for the Practical Nursing course, and what potential risks or consequences might arise from deferring? 3. How can she navigate this situation effectively, given her anxiety and our significant financial investment ($8000 deposit)? We would appreciate honest advice and guidance from experienced individuals to help us make an informed decision |

Qlife is cheaper, so why not use them? Trust22: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 11:18am On Aug 27 |
1. Deferring to take a Pre-Health course might not negatively impact her IRCC application, but it could complicate things. IRCC may question the relevance of this course to her original study plan for Practical Nursing. If she chooses this route, she should inform IRCC promptly about the program change and ensure that it aligns with her career goals in healthcare. 2. There is no potential risk if she defer to F2025, it will only cause a delay in your family plan 3. Raise a webform about the urgency, if no response then plan to defer the program. thetaxman: |
