Plan before coming to waste money here. It’s now hell to get PR and many students already gone back home. It’s very expensive to study here. Plan carefully 1 Like

Maria96: The govt has already stopped public private partnership colleges from further admitting students, but in your post, you stated Conestoga, which is a public college, are you saying employers are rejecting graduates from public institutions like Conestoga are being rejected? |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 3:39pm On Aug 27 |
For those planning to move to Canada, it’s essential to thoroughly PLAN your journey in advance. This includes selecting the right course, choosing the appropriate province, and understanding the PR pathways available. Always conduct thorough research and seek advice. As a student, you will be a temporary resident, so it’s crucial to have a clear exit strategy for transitioning to permanent residency and start taking steps toward that goal. Unfortunately, conditions in our home country are not improving and are becoming increasingly challenging and costly. If you have the opportunity to leave, do so with careful planning. However, not everyone can afford to move abroad due to the rising costs and economic difficulties at home. If Canada is too expensive, consider other options, but ensure you are well-informed and prepared. I wish everyone the best in their endeavors. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Bobomaigida: I will not advice anyone to come to canada again on a study permit . If you must travel on a study permit go to Europe for now especially countries with cheaper tuition and hope of staying after study 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hello everybody, I’m in a bit of dilemma, I applied since the 26th of June, till date I’ve not had a single update on my application, program start date is 3rd of September, my school doesn’t allow deferral, if I don’t resume by the 3rd of September my admission will be cancelled and I’d need to reapply, I’d like to know if this won’t affect my application and yes I’ve raised web forms 3 times now and yet no update |

Good morning! A friend got a refusal on July 25 for an application made on June 25. GCMS notes were ordered and they arrived yesterday. House, please assist to look into this. Your comments are well appreciated. Btw, she is a banker who also owns a business registered last year June (one year turnover is over 100m and she provided statement of the business, CAC and invoices). Two year course of CAD23k per year and POF of N72m (27m in Bank and 45m in FD certificate). GCMS NOTE The applicant's assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel for the applicant (and any accompanying family member(s), fi applicable). Bank statement and term investment deposit certificate for PA provided. The source of funds is poorly documented, and there is no evidence provided showing how PA came to accumulate such savings. Limited evidence pertaining to the source on stated funds. nI the absence of satisfactory documentation showing the source of these funds, I am not satisfied the applicant has sufficient funds for the intended international study. |

Bensticks1:In as much as reasons for denials are somehow baseless recently. But, this is well stated that there was no concrete information on that sum of fund. Explain any form of huge deposit on your account with documents where necessary. 2 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bensticks1: 8:02am On Aug 28 |
jojomario:There were no huge deposits in the account except if amounts not exceeding N50,000 - N100,000 regular inflows and outflows would be classified as “huge” |

Las las, after submitting your application, pray for a VO with good intentions to handle your files. The truth is, with such account statements…she was supposed to pay the full tuition to prove her SOA regardless the documents. Again, these days…IRCC hardly accepts FD, let her liquidate the funds. Note; tone properly guided by gurus in the house, you have to show the additional documents submitted by her. All the best to her. Bensticks1: |

Old or new portal? Because it’s obvious they’re using Chinook 3+ software to make decisions to hasten the process. Hence,it takes a typical of 1 month to get update. febishola20: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bensticks1: 8:53am On Aug 28 |
techgen:The school does not allow payment of school fees prior to study permit issuance. That’s the school’s process. Even a GIC wasn’t really an option because she thought, what is the point when the study permit isn’t guaranteed. But you’re right, let’s all just pray for VOs with good intentions. 1 Like |

MarksmanD: @MarksmanD and other well wishers, I am happy to share the good news that my PPR letter landed early this morning. I submitted all the requested additional documents with a truthful LOE to IRCC, and the caring Lord answered my prayer. Alhamdulillah, all glory to Him. I will be back soon with lessons learned. Thank you all and I wish the hopefuls the best of luck. Please advise on the most effective and fast option for submitting my passport for stamping. 7 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Bobomaigida: 9:16am On Aug 28 |
Bensticks1: She is supposed to look at what will make her application stronger and review the application with a VO's mind, saying GIC wasn't an option though not mandatory would have reduced any unfavorable review by the VO, from your submission she has the funds, so she needs to put them to use to show she has access to them. If she had GIC, she would have sorted everything about living expenses and focus on tuition POF, though she would still have to explain HOW she raised the funds. For a business registered in one year to raise such huge funds, she will need to explain in graphics details how the business raises money. |
