CORRECTED ; VFD EPS =2,356,780,000/1,266,849,100= N 1.86
Annulised = N3.72
PE = 45.5/ 3.72= 12.23
vacanci:

A better performance than UCAP if i must say.

VFD EPS was not annualized. Profit after tax was around 3B naira with outstanding shares of around 1.25B after the split and rights issue. if you annualize their EPS of 2.45, you get 4.9

UCAPprofit after tax was around 7.7B. if we consider the current outstanding share of 18B units after the bonus, EPS will be around 0.43 and if you annualize it, it will be around N0.86

So with the above, the P/E ratio for VFD will be 9.18 (45/4.9) while P/E ratio of UCAP is 21.5 (18.5/0.86)

which one is cheaper?

abeg let those who sabi calculate correct any mistake i make. I may be wrong and it's opened for debate.

Before UCAP will earn N1 per share, it has to make a profit after tax of at least N18 Billion going forward. The dilution is not bad per say, but the price of the stock now is the issue. And to enjoy at least 10% dividend from 18 B naira net income, the share price has to be N10 maximum

challenging when it comes to giving suggestions to family issue, please take this one sided opinion with grain of salt as the line i have towed to avoid issues in the future.Here goes my 2 cents to chip in.

From your write up the kids you mentioned seem to be doing good for themselves. Don't force them, all you can do is introduce them to the idea and be open to answer whatever questions they have.

Always believe adults based on their first response and action, this will save you stress. Considering the 2 offspring you have reached out to are not interested, if you have another, reach out to see if he/she is interested. If no one is interested, It is high time to start to look into setting up a trust (you don't have to be deca/ centi millionaire to set one up ), make up your mind what you want to leave for your wife/ husband first, then the kids , dear relatives and institution you hold dear to heart can also be your beneficiary.

Your conversation with the firm will guide how the assets will be structured revocable or irrevocable trust (if you are a resident of multiple nations, you will have to replicate same process based on each countries estate planning law ) . It depends on how the trust is structured, You can leave a percentage of the whole asset for yourself to still manage while the trustee oversee what you want to be in their care. As your wealth increase, you can always transfer to the trust as you deem fit yearly/ biennial, etc.

Suggestion is from experience : My next of kin is in my generation, the next persons (2) in line after that are fosters (not sure they will be interested.Hence, preparing handing over the baton is smooth without issues).
Hopefully everything works out for you big man/ woman.
Thanks for your time. You're right. I shouldn't force them.

The Chief Financial Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, Umar Ajiya, has stated that the company is not opposed to asset sales as a strategy to boost profit margins and achieve higher returns in the near future. He mentioned that the company is not only aiming to maximize the utilization of some of its assets but is also considering selling those that cannot be optimized for better returns

Ajiya also stated that the oil company is prepared for public offers, contingent on shareholders’ willingness to invest. He noted that the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) recommends a two to three-year financial history to assure investors that the national energy giant is on a profitable path.

“Hopefully, the shareholders will decide how much to sell down and unwind. It’s really the shareholders’ call."

“The shareholders are now averse to selling down. They are eager to see us deliver with some strong performance and they can ask us to enter the market at the appropriate time,” the CFO added.

Buy tangible asset and let them know you bought it courtesy of the stock market, if you get good dividends let them know you got it through a stock bought many years ago at a ridiculous low price

Let them know about passive income and the need to have different streams of income.

My old man became interested in the stock market, when I pledged my shares as collateral when he desperately needed a loan to complete one of his properties. Loan was approved within a week, whereas they have been trying to perfect a lien on a property he planned using as collateral for the past 12 months without any success.

Let them know the importance of having investment in the capital market and they will be interested
Haba! How would I not have assets? They know all these. I'm not a small man o.

I don't think you maybe right on ucap.The eps for this yr will like recognise 6B outstanding shares. The esp for next yr will be the one likely to capture 18 B OS which I don't think is the case in VFD.I believe the VFD is already working with the new Os as they moved to nse.I could be wrong on ucap

Like I said C and I leasing is a good company. That does not mean you should not know the value to place on the stock price for now.Dont go and fall mugu to traders and come back here and start crying. Just know that some want to push it to a particular percentage high so that they can dump and leave you with your kaya.It does not mean the stock is a bad stock. Go in with good margin of safety

Always try and filter the noise..lol
