I saw a video of DSS staff jubilating to the resignation of their boss
They later denied it but the government need to start handing their agencies with iron hand
That was a show of shameless and unprofessionalism, no matter how evil the man they can resign if they ain't comfortable with his policy

You don't need to tell me to know those assholes dancing are the lazy one who is not ready to work and that's what government workers want

The Hilux guy know say he don 4ck up and that's why he just stayed back in the car.

If our law enforcement really want to work, they can use that plate number to fish out the owner and impound the vehicle since it was caught on camera driving against traffic.

If na our own normal car now, they will impound the vehicle and auction it as punishment for driving against traffic.
It's a government convoy, sanwoolu should do normal like he did in badagry or the army should call him out

I think the man sef get issue.

I was seeing some comments on a twitter thread talking about how the man really used his office to do all sorts. One of the Arewa twitter guys was shading him that he used influence to have his son included in the Nigerian FIFA U-17 world cup team list.

I googled the story and actually saw there were some allegations against him for that back in 2019 or so.

I don't even know the man but celebrating after he left doesn't change anything IMO
Emilokan can even put someone worse than him and they will be hoping he leaves too

I think the man was not popular amongst his subordinates. It appears the new guy is a career officer who grew through the ranks and the staff are more pleased with his appointment.

The difference between black market and filling station price is like day and night. You will buy 568 at NNPC , 630 or thereabouts at MRS and black market like 1,000 to 1,200 per liter.

If u want to buy like 50 liters, you will buy for N28,400 at NNPC, N31,500 at MRS and N60,000 at black market.

Nobody will teach you patience , u will just have it ; especially if it is weekend when u are not going to work.

600.. 1200 the difference isn't much na. Well, you have no problem with staying so it's fine.

Black market here is #1100.

I don't know what u do for money. I struggle like a regular average Nigerian to make every kobo I earn, I won't pay 60k for something I can get for below 30k.

I was not trained like that o.

You're funny. To me it's just a matter of stress, and comfort/convenience. Going to the fuel station is stress, meanwhile the black market seller brings the fuel to my house most times without me needing to go out. That's more convenient for me. We just see, and live life differently.

The norm is for one to go to filling station to buy fuel na. Even people abroad go to filling station to buy fuel, nobody buys fuel from the comfort of their home.

I won't throw away almost 30k because I can't wait in queue to buy fuel o.

Away from the financial implication, it is even not a flex to buy black market because you are at risk of buying bad fuel that can damage your engine. Black market people usually adultrate the fuel they sell.

Even the fuel stations sell bad fuel. There was a time that almost all the fuel stations in Rivers State were selling kpo fire fuel. Apart from NNPC and major marketers, the rest can still do what you accuse the black market people of.

If this your story is real, it's better to just get a trusted person in your vicinity to do fuel runs with your car... Even at 10k per trip, it's a lot cheaper.

The major problem with PH is, I doubt there are up to 10 stations that sell below 700 and they don't sell everytime. The closest to me is about 8kms and you can get there by 6am, queue till 8 and they won't sell. That's two litres of fuel wasted. If you decide to wait till they start selling before you join the queue, sorry will be your name. Most times, your options are between 890-950 per litre at filling stations and the 1100 he buys. The difference becomes less significant.

For you guys in Lagos who have more options, it's a no brainer to go and queue.

Your explanation makes much sense.

There's an NNPC filling station that is just like one minute drive from my house; there are two other NNPC filling stations like 10 minutes and 15 minutes drive from my house. All I need to do is stay on queue and buy fuel on weekends

There are other filling stations closer to me whose prices vary from NNPC's like petrocham and other independent marketers.

There's MRS filling station close to my work place that sell multiple pumps at the same time. All I need to do is leave home early and will buy fuel within 30 mins.

In Lagos there's definitely options like you rightly said.

The major challenge since the scarcity started is that many stations have tampered with their meters.

I mean MANY

Whether it is 568, 625 or 950, Sakamanje ni gbo gbo wan.

The only way to get some better deal is to buy in stations with a lesser price.

That's big elephant in the room no one seems to be talking about. And because people don't buy much fuel again, it's becoming increasingly difficult figuring them out.

A bus or taxi driver before Tinubu buys 5k fuel in two different places. He gets 33 litres in one and 31 in the other. Easy to know which has tampered with the meter because the extra two litre of fuel will take him another 16-20kms.

Now lets say he buys the same 5k at 850 per litre at a filling station that has not adjusted the meter and he gets 5.88 liters, he will get 5.55 at another that has adjusted it to 900 but displaying 850. How e wan take notice any difference?

Filling stations have never had it better. They can now adjust meters however they want.
