MARKETJJC:

I don't think there is any manipulation. Three things will explain this from the little I have learned in this market: (1) cross deal; (2) none of those on the top queue came from the same stock broker as the seller or sellers, no matter your position, a seller will first sell to the in house buyer on the queue no matter his position before selling to another buy on the queue too, (3 )That number one you are seeing there is not actually the number person, the real number buyer may have had his quantities partially filled and he is then move away from the front to the bottom for the next person to be number one, but the original number one person must finish his quantities before that present number one will get his. So it is possible for you to be number 1 at a particular point in time but another person before you will be receiving first.

I hope this haphazard explanation clears you. grin

Is that no. 2 correct?

Compare VERITAS and PRESTIGE...

The chances of PRESTIGE getting to meet up with VERITAS is high...

No. 1. Cross deal I know.

Are No. 2 and No 3 applicable to this same NGX that we all use?

Anyways don't take my initial post too serious, it's actaully aimed at people just entering the OandO bus

I believe there's an error in your statement. Brokers are not responsible for matching bid and ask orders. The broker's role is primarily to provide access to the trading platform. The actual matching of orders is performed by the CSCS or the NGX, unless it's a cross deal.

While forex brokers do matching orders internally or even trading against their clients, stock brokers generally don't operate in the same manner. Their function is more focused on facilitating trades rather than participating order matching.

Please, Mcy56 could provide further clarification on this matter.

grin Oando just dey give me excess joy

Anyone that missed or finding it difficult getting Oando should just jump into ETERNA at which ever price. As long as Oando is matching, ETERNA will match with it in the spirit of solidarity and contagion effect. Get ETERNA as it is easier, use that arm to ride OANDO

Aradel is also not doing badly as well even though it is on the OTC. It surprising that it has moved from about NGN2,500 to over NGN6,000 yet bids are still not being filled.

Could it be another Seplat PLC when they list on the floor of the NGX? 🤷🏽‍♂️

What if the orders were placed at the same time (rounded to minutes) and the execution order is based on a tiebreaker rule such as,
Time of order,
Probability of order being fully executed

Oliver Twist, have you sent him Tithe, Offering and Seed for the one he gave you ?
Hehehe..... I will only send him 5% tithe because before his prophesy came, I had already had my own conviction that OANDO would do wonders sooner or later after Tinubu was sworn into office. His prophesy only came to reinforce my conviction. So it was a 50:50 job between us. Though before Tinubu became president, I wouldn't touch OANDO with a 100m long pole, and once he is out of Aso Rock, the romance between OANDO and me ends straight away.

It is not actually fixing sort of but a way to encourage brokers. So that they will enjoy the benefit of having all the commissions. Do the experiment with a friend that is in the same stock house with you. Let him join the queue on any stock at the SAME PRICE that the number one person put, then sell some units to him, u will see it.

OGG, when it comes to using telescope to sight stock, HE is G.O.A.T. I give it to him but the problem is that average Nigerian is in a hurry and can't wait. Me too, I will not wait and then tie my little rolling capital down. To me, what I have is not capital but currency grin, so it must also be on the move until I reach Agba, and PA Emma level grin

The bids will not be filled till listing on NGX mid September. Very solid company operating across all the value chain in the Oil & Gas industry, its a sure banker even at this high price. When it comes to NGX and the stock becomes cheaper and more affordable (20 times dilution) I see it returning 50%+ over a 12 month period, where the market will price it near Seplat in terms of Market Cap, at the moment that's a 60%upside. Now imagine over a 5 year period when gas production increases, they start producing PMS from their refinery and they acquire Shell Petroleum Development Company. Not to forget they paid N200 per share dividend and EPS was N247. Let him who hath hears, let him hear. Everyone should do their own research sha

But with my local eyes;
OS: almost the same
PE: equivalent or close
Dividend : Prestige is below half of VERITAs
EPS: prestige is also below half of VERITAs.
So it is normal for prestige price to be below half of VERITAs price grin.

VERITAs is 1.4 I think, half is 0.7, below half is 0.6+ grin

The price is too high compared to their last year dividend.

The price is rallying due to the impending NGX listing, at time of the dividend announcement it was a 4% yield but that was also influenced by the announcement

All you need to know is in the public domain.

Minimum investment of $10,000. The fund must have been in your account 30 days and above prior to the offer
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 4:48pm On Aug 28
The listing price will be determined by the last trading price on NASD. Using todays closing price of 6,200, NGX open price will be 310
