If you are too quiet, bullies will always target attacks at you. For me, this is the story of Igbos scapegoating by Nigerians. Last year, an X user with a Yoruba name tweeted: Let's kill all the Igbos. Let's flush them out of Yoruba lands. I hate these people with passion. They are violent people. They are worst. They hate us. Let's hate them without holding back. SOURCE Nobody seemed to care since Igbos were at the receiving end. But now, everyone cares because there's an Igbo name involved at the giving end. In 1945, 2 Igbos were killed in Jos tomato market riot and nothing was done about it. In 1953, up to 60 Igbos were killed in Kano because a Benin man Anthony Enahoro moved a motion for Nigeria's Independence and the North rejected it and a Yoruba man Akintola planned to visit the North to preach independence to them. Because nothing was done again, in 1966, thousands of Igbos were killed because of a coup staged by military officers from different tribes. So it continued. In 2001, America bombed Afghanistan because of Osama Bin Laden's involvement in 9/11. Then, some Muslims started killing Igbos in Jos. While we should all condemn Amaka Sunnberger's tribal outburst, we should also condemn anyone trying to make her insane talks look like the view of all Igbos. After all, someone tweeted something similar about Igbos over a year ago but Igbos didn't accuse any tribe for it. 13 Likes

EreluRoz:There are worse things than this being done and said against the Igbos but no one cares. Igbos too don't care. But, let one Igbo misyarn, it gets branded an Igbo conspiracy and make national headline. Can't you see how they are all logging in, logging out, and running away with their tails in between their legs. Bitterkola100:Let me address the 3 points raised by this commenter here: 1. You went ahead to call me a cheap tribalist after I have condemned her outburst in my post using strong words like "insane". I only said that people shouldn't take it as an Igbo view, but many of you instead see a support for Amaka Sunnberger. It's a proof that you can never please your haters, so better don't try. As for the names you called me, I won't descend to your level by calling you back. 2. You said that the man was arrested by the Osun State government. I don't know if he was arrested or not, or if he was released after as some people allege. All I know is that Igbos didn't try to hang what he said on other Yorubas as Yorubas are trying to do with Amaka's case, which is my point up there. 3. These Devil's we are dealing with have been known for their ability at vicious media propaganda. I have met many wise Binis who understand that all the noise about Igbos abusing Oba of Bini was the same evil souls using social media farms to create enmity between Igbos and Binis because of their jealousy against the unprecedented support Obi got from the Binis in 2023. Read this thread and see. The Oba of Benin congratulated Tinubu and X users were commenting on it, but someone gathered all the tweets critical of Oba of Benin and claimed those were Igbo Obidients criticizing Oba. But, a wise Bini gave the following reply to him: AdaojoTheUrchin:So, dear Bitterkola100, I'll be surprised if you are truly a Benin person because I have hardly ever seen a Bini person reasoning this low. 25 Likes 3 Shares |

EreluRoz: if you can be very truthful and open, you will know that the very worst of us in yoruba land have taken over leaderships both politically and traditionally and its evident in the country now....I am a proud yoruba man and from observation Nigeria will and can only grow if the yoruba lead the growing and with the current tribal evelavtion, i have come to the conclusion that the country is gone and all thanks to Tinubu promotion to national politics that started in 2014...God help this country is what remains... every tribe is great and with their own peculiar leadership but Nigeria growth depend on yoruba tribe types of politics cos we own the media, we are louder, we have the highest propagandist machine and mostly drive narration in the country... just check around you if u are in the country and you will see how debase the country is becoming tribally and all thanks to the worst of us that have taken over mantle of leadership.... 8 Likes |

dumahi: i wasnt denigrating any tribe but stating the fact.. the igbo people run the business and that why they will perform better when the income of the country is low and which was why i voted for Obi... the hausas are much good at defence but the yorubas are much of media and we all know media run the world...it was media that sold the apollo landing in 1969 and got them funding.. it was media that sold manhattan project and get them the funding.. it was media that mostly won the world war... most people become what they consume... most people bitterly tribalistic because of what they read and fed with online.... the worst of us have taken over media space and leadership and therefore driving the narratives, just check nairaland and see those who crrate most topics( they are mostly tribal warlords and mostly yorubas trying to fan the ember of tribalism) 4 Likes |

Stop supporting stupidity with whataboutism. Those who promote death threats on social media should be severely punished. Nobody should be spared. One Yoruba lunatic went to prison in the UK for threatening Igbos and Fulanis. That lady who threatened Yorubas and Binis should be severely punished by the relevant authorities. If people are not held responsible for their stupid content on social media, the rest of the world would think that Nigeria has no sane people. Everyone should be held responsible for whatever they share. 3 Likes |

I'm trying to let you see your hypocrisy whereby you remember that something is wrong only when the subject bears an Igbo name and you are telling me about whataboutism, the meaning of which you obviously don't understand. 1 Like |

You know this despicable soul too well. If this account does not belong to an ipob make I die suddenly. You can see the Laospedia guy, he stood with his full chest na so I de comment for my profile. As Igbo own the right to hate Yoruba n others who h they exhibited with their hate of the entire northerner population calling them herdsmen n almijiri so do others have the same right to hate Igbo with extreme passion the way they disgust. No one own monopoly to hate. ... muykem: 3 Likes |
