budaatum: The problem with the left and Muslims is that despite being a minority in many cases, they want to impose their weird choices on the whole population A few men pretend to be women and they want me jailed for calling them men. They want old buildings redesigned to have their unisex toilets. Women who can't zip it up want abortion in the constitution. preferably govt funded. The left grievances are just laughable. Did a judge rule this week that a child in the womb is not part of the woman's body? 1 Like |

Oh, don't let me forget about Mr. Laurence (Laurene). It's not lost on me that most of the people who support Trump in this thread have never stepped foot in the US. Now, is that correlation or causation. 1 Like |

DeepSight:I acknowledge and appreciate your friendship here on nairaland and your intellectual depths at analysing complex social issues. I see my self as a humanist, my views are often non personal and look at how issues affect the wider society and humanity as a whole. As you are already aware, I am an evolutionist, a staunch believer in the doctrine of "survival of the fittest". Survival just doesn't mean individual survival but also includes family, clan, racial and species survival. Fittest also doesn't necessarily means strongest or fastest, that attributes (both physical and others elements) that best fits the environment. I can now explain my "extremist" views on fidelity in marriage. Marriage is not necessarily a religious contraption, but a social construct (I would say evolutionary behaviour) for social order and progress. Ancient Rome that promoted monogamy did not do it for religious reasons but for social order (political and economic reasons). Even Judaism (or rather Abrahamism) which is the father of Christianism promoted polygamy. It was when Rome took over the Christian religion that monogamy was indoctrinated. Let me Further explain why I feel polygamy is not desirable at this stage of our evolutionary development. In ancient times when the human population was small (100 million or less) and lived in isolated settlement. The economy was first Hunter gatherer and later agrarian. Polygamy was the most efficient method of family and thus societal survival. A man required multiple wives and children (or large family members) for successful hunts or to work the land for successful agriculture. Then a man's wealth was measured by the number of wives and children, and then agricultural produce. Furthermore, life expectancy was very short, with men being even shorter due to war, disease, hunting and extraneous work. So churning out children in numbers was needed to compensate for the high mortality rate. Today, social dynamics have radically changed. The world population is 8 billion. The economy is now industrial and even digital. Families live in apartment building or at best single plot houses. Now, how will polygamy work in such a situation. Putting up 2 or more families under the same roof often end in disaster. Putting then under separate roofs also has its economic and psychological implications particularly on the children. In todays world polygamy is detrimental to building a strong, peaceful and prosperous society.
Now having said the above, I am not particularly anti-polygamy. What I am against is lying and cheating. If my wife or girlfriend is not meeting my needs, I will let her know. If she insists on being stubborn and still fail to meet my needs, I will make her known that I will find solace elsewhere. I will never hide or lie. The only reason I will still stay in the marriage and not divorce is because of the children. But once the children are of independent age, I am gone. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

IjeBos: This non issue story.. Arlington cemetery sort of stone walled the attendance of Trump, the families eventually spoke to house speaker who facilitated the attendance. It's the families who wanted Trump present not the other way round as you implied. https://dailycaller.com/2024/08/28/exclusive-gold-star-families-had-trouble-getting-trump-into-arlington-until-house-speaker-intervened/ Joe Biden was by the beach leading America to greater heights at the time. We, WE extended the invitation to President Trump. We are the ones that asked him to come. We are the ones that asked him to assist in laying a wreath for our son, and for the shooting for, Sergeant Canals and for Cole. We’re the ones that asked that. President Trump didn’t come to us. His team didn’t come to us and say, hey, this would be good for business. Business? No. President Trump has stood by us from day one. He has been compassionate. He has been loving. He’s been understanding. He’s taking the mantle of our outrage a little bit. Because to be quite honest with you, being very frank, we haven’t heard diddly squat from the current administration in three years,” Hoover said The family wanted the event recorded. The family. He is buying Americans with tax cuts while he creates a nation where he can grab pussy and be immune, and the stupid maga majority Scotus seem to want to agree with him. That stupid might work with men, but my hope is it doesn't work with most pussy owners. Dump will not go. He needs to be sent! |

wirinet: I would argue that marriage is just our own way describing the phenomenon where two individuals decide to become life-long mating partners. There are numerous organisms in the animal kingdom, even lower animals, that form life-long bonds. I don't agree that polygamy was the norm. We've been monogamous for a very long time. It's when the concept of monetary value developed that some men (those who attained high social status) decided they deserved more than what was offered by status quo. A better building, better food, better women or men. Like Jesus said, to alter his wordings a bit: God created one man and one woman, not one man and multiple women. @Deepsight. There are arguments that male produces millions of sperm, therefore, it implies that a man is programmed to have multiple partners. In reality, human reproduction is greatly influenced by the laws probability. Out of those millions of sperm cells, most of them have faulty DNA. And shouldn't smell a womb, let alone fertilize an ovary. Sperm cells also have short life span of 74 days. It makes sense that the testes needs to be working on the clock to generate as many sperm cells as possible. Most men in all societies had one wife or spouse. I wouldn't trust anyone who sleeps outside of their marriage, too.. In olden days, that person would have faced serious consequences. 1 Like |

budaatum: Why continue this. It's not what you have been saying all along. This is the specific part I told you I had issue with that you didn't include in this iteration of your remarks. The Supreme Court did in fact say the constitution doesn't grant you the right of control over your body, and so they have allowed each state to decide what control you do have over your body. budaatum: |

budaatum: He was president remember..Did the sky fall? It's the deep state that flatly went out to sabotage his presidency. Every thing he said was twisted to make him look bad. His wife who is quite a stunner never graced the covers of those fashion magazines. His walking and standing styles were criticized the whole day. Those who hamstrung him have a lot to hide, they have committed crimes and they control the media. And your mind too. They lie day in day out knowing there are enough gullible fools to believe them. Before he became a president they were swooning all over him, calling him the epitome of the American dream.

IjeBos: I guess its impossible for you to understand that "the state" is We The People who get to vote at the next election to decide what our state does. That's democracy, whether you like it or not. Vote Blue so your 'state' says your body your choice or live with the consequences of others controlling your body. And beware! The red states will likely ban condoms and make sex outside marriage a felony, though those laws will not apply to the lawmakers! |

Trump though he won California in 2020 Trump thought that if Jesus or an honest vote counter counted the votes in California he would have won California. He's clearly delusional. This is mental illness level. That Trump thought he could win California does so much damage to anybody who supported Trump's stolen election claims. I wonder why anyone supports Trump when he continues to make them look foolish for that support. I guarantee, if Jesus Christ came down and was the vote counter, I would win California, OK? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn_OhXzp0cQ |

budaatum: You actually believe that lie about banning adultery or condoms. Not in America. In UK once the Muslims outbreed you , they will do exactly that. They dig a hole , throw the woman in it and stone her with small pebbles preferably so that she takes long to die in agony. Her crime. Adultery.

budaatum: At this point I think you are purposefully conflating these points. No one is arguing democracy. But there is no We in personal rights. You do no have freedom if anyone else can decide even through a democratic process what you can do. Roe v Wade guaranteed Reproductive Health as a fundamental right under the privacy implied in the 14th Amendment. Your body your Choice. This Supreme Court said that Constitution did not find that Reproductive Health was a fundamental right. Therefore they did not believe you had an absolute right to control your body. So because of that, the states could decide how much control you have over your body. No one is arguing Democracy or how Democracy works. The question is, if something can be put for vote and decided on my by the majority of that vote, can you intrinsically have personal control of that thing? |

IjeBos: At this point I think you would be more accurate to think I am purposefully trolling you for misconflating my points, but we'll see in due time. Under the very unfortunate circumstances the very corrupt maga majority supreme court has created, my answer is yes. And the intrinsic contradiction is not missed. Imagine the majority decide my body their choice, and minority I insists, which I can, on having my choice. The worse they can do is arrest me and jail me, but can you not see how stupid and absurd they'd be when their jails are full of my choice women? Some women might even intentionally get pregnant, and that's apart from the trolls who wouldn't be pregnant, and announce their intended my choice on twitter and facebook just in protest. The Supreme Court has created a ridiculous situation that only ignorant magas can be pleased about, and I'm glad because, as usual, they are doing what would make them unelectable for many cycles going forward, as shown by your man outrage at their stupidity. And imagine the outrage of the uterus owners. The Lincoln youtube we are discussing says something like a 175% increase in women voters. Or is it that you think the majority of women are going to vote for my body pig's choice, pigs being what the stupid men who want control over a woman's uterus are? Note that in some countries same sex is illegal. This proposed majority control of my uterus is as stupid and absurd as trying to police a same sex bedroom. And the thought of uterus control officer basilico on state borders just makes me laugh sarcastically in derision. 1 Like |

basilico: This is an entire lie. First off, there’s policy to be followed when visiting Arlington, that was violated. Trump was there for a wreath laying at the TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN soldier. The soldier is unknown therefore his family is also unknown, so how did they express that they wanted Trump there? He then took a tacky thumbs up photo in front of one of the graves of those who died in Afghanistan, somwthing that violates the cemetery policy regarding politics. Trump’s aide pushed an employee resulting in an incident report being filed and Family members complained about the incident because it was rude and disruptive. Who wants someone taking a thumbs up photo in front of their loved one’s grave. FYIArlington is a National Cemetery and their policies supersede the wishes of the families of those buried there so either way, he was wrong. |
