They are both almost identical in Performance, but the Lexus has more premium to it in the area of accessories been standard on it and optional on the Avalon

out of the 3 i will pick the Acura because it is more premium out of the three vehicles, has the best 4cylinder engine and will out perform the competition. It is just a very premium honda accord of same generation so parts is not an issue. Buy the i4 for fuel economy and v6 for optimum performance.

Avalon will be my next pick, cheaper than the camry, not a robbers magnet compared to the camry and more premium than the camry in offering. Though the 268hp 2gr is very solid and can still keep up with certain competition. fuel economy is average

The camry is my last choice, the 2gr is same as avalon while the 4cylinder 2az is prone to oil burn except it is the japanese made variant. It is a robber magnet, parts i am certain would be more expensive than avalon.

I don’t think you should be considering Ford Edge if you are concerned about fuel

Go for 2015. The later years always correct the issues of the earliest year

You didn't say crv or Rav 4 4plugs, you dey talk edge with bigger engine than Rx300 😅

In terms of class, they actually aren’t up to par
The Toyota is a compact sedan
The Honda Accord is a mid size sedan
In terms of reliability, both are very reliable, the Corolla wins the this factor though ( if you’d prefer the Honda go for the 2015 model at least)
Price of part
Sourcing parts for both vehicle shouldn’t be and hassle as they’re pretty common ( some parts of the Corolla might be pricy though )
Fuel economy the Corolla take the win with its smaller displacement engine ( if you’d prefer power go for the v6 Honda p.s I have one for sale )
In terms of design and features the Honda wins here especially going for its top tier trim the Corolla is more bland.
Winner of today’s race depends on what you want from both vehicles.

you must also have a modern garage to for regular and timely maintenance and fix

you should also have funds available to avoid expensive fixes when you begin experience minor issues.

Above all, these cars are not what one should be pulling everyday, they are meant for occasional joy rides like weekends, special occasions, so it would last if you have an everyday car other than one of these choices.

That vehicle was fitted with the M274 a 2.0 turbo charged 4-cylinder which was known to have a piston defect for the US market. Maybe you should do a C400.

Also I am not a fan of turbo charged vehicles not to talk of one that is a 4-cylinder but ensure
1. You do a VIN check for the specimen you intend to buy, to confirm if the engine was part of the defective one and if it has been fixed under warranty

2. You can comfortably afford the maintenance cost interms of the oil and original recommended fluids

3. There are capable hands near your location to handle maintenance and fix.

There is no replacement for hearts desire though, because the Benz badge is premium, but you can check a Lexus ES or GS they are close in terms of luxury

Thanks chief, I was also looking at the BMW 330i 2018 it costs almost the same and I’ve seen quite remarkable comments about it, what do you think? Or is there a BMW around that range that you can recommend?
