Used Abuja TLS
It was for my mum and I did the application and documents upload outside Nigeria.

No wonder, I think there's a peculiarities of no response or Decisions stucked with DMC for applicants that choose ikeja TLS around 12 - 17 August 2024.

I haven't seen anyone that have received a collection mail.

@dimeji248 i think is a general problem. i want to believe the delay is because of school resumption next month.

Aug 26 was a UK public holiday so no decisions on that day and it doesn’t count as a working day. If you don’t receive a decision on September 2nd, 2024 only then should you worry. Not before.

I did my biometrics on 1st August for visitors visa and I have received the mail below twice but still yet to get my visa decision. My company is sponsoring and I am just worried that I have used up some of the money I kept in my salary account. Please do they request/review bank statements after the one that was uploaded?
See below email: Thank you for your visa/entry clearance application which has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days and settlement applications within 60 working days (unless you have opted for a Priority Visa service).

We are unable to resolve your application within these customer service targets, due to operational restrictions. Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to enable a decision to be made as soon as possible.

Please do not attend the application centre until you have been contacted by the VAC.

Kind regards
Croydon DMC

Hello @Cashmadam , ashirioluwa and other gurus in the house. Pls I will like some advice regarding my application.

My wife will be attending a (5 days) training in the uk organized by her company. I have applied for my leave to coincide with her training and my myself and my son (6months old )will be accompanying her for our family vacation (10days).

We are trying to avoid a rejection based on purpose of visit should Incase the v.o is confused about attending a training and going for vacation at the same time.

What is the best way to present our application :

1 should we all apply together as a family with a detailed cover letter and hope for the best

2 should my wife apply alone for the purpose of attending her training then my myself and my son apply separately for the vacation.

Thank you all

Good evening, guys.

Please, I need some help/guidance.

I applied for a UK visitor visa for my mother living in eastern Nigeria. I saw that Enugu now has a TLS contact centre, so I chose Enugu as a centre because I didn’t want the old woman to go through the stress of travelling to Lagos.

Time to book an appointment for her to go and do biometrics, and I find out there no slots in Enugu. I have been checking every day now for one week but till now slots are still not available. Ha! And it’s important that she comes to the UK as soon as possible.

I tried to change her centre to Victoria Island since it appears Enugu no dey get slots only to find out you can’t change centres. The only option that seems available is to go back to Gov.Uk and start a fresh application from scratch and pay another visa fees. We don’t want to go through that.

Please, is there anyone with contacts with TLS that can help us with appointment date in Enugu? We really won’t mind paying a little extra if we have to .
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 10:07pm On Aug 29
Did you pay the Enugu TLS fee or you only paid UK visa standard visit visa fee? Thts all you have paid was it only in pounds? This centre is alike with PH centre, sp check the thread for those who used PH as well and see if you could get any pointers to securing a date.

I haven’t paid the Enugu TLS fee. I think you can only pay that when you’ve booked your appointment, which I couldn’t because no slots are available. It’s only the UK visitor visa fee that has been paid.

I’ll check out for the pointers. Thanks.

I believe it would be best if you all applied together. State in your letter or in the VAF's additional information section the reason why you and your child want to accompany her to the UK.

However, if your wife decides to apply alone for any reason best known to her, advise her to note on her VAF that her kid and husband would be traveling with her, as neglecting to do so may negatively impact your application and that of your child.

Then cancel the application if you feel this Enugu has wasted a lot of time. Fill a new form for a new ‘centre’ and repay the visa fees. You should get your refund for previous app in about 28 days.

I was able to book appointment at same centre on August 28 for September 04 slot and there are plenty slot for September.

Enugu TLS is premium location, all customer using the location pay 450k, if you select any other option, you may not get free slot.

Hello everyone. My mum’s visa was refused based on this (attached is the refusal letter). We did explain in the application the source of additional income which was the monthly money sent to her by children. They also said the monthly expenditure is more than 50k. Of course she can’t have a specific amount she spends in a month. How do we go about reapplying? She works with state government and she has taken her leave already. Funny enough, they granted her husband who has retired.

The issues can not be addressed soon.
It will take some time for her to arrange her bank statement.
Also to stay within a monthly sum as her monthly expenses.

Wow. This is crazy. They’re still telling me no slots available. I’ve been checking every single day. I’m aware it’s premium location. They don’t even give the option of selecting anything other than premium and we’re okay with that.

I’m beginning to think it may be because I’m trying to book for her from outside Nigeria. I’ll send the application link to someone back home to try too, so I could know if the problem is my location.

You have to be patient. Someone posted today that she did on the 12th and got a decision already.
If you check it it’s not up to 15 working days

@cashmadam,Ashirioluwa....Please,my sister is planning to travel to the UK to visit our younger sister...she plans to travel with her kids.I want to ask if she needs an invitation letter from her sister in the UK even though she's sponsoring herself.
Secondly, does she need to write a separate letter explaining her financial details(Statements of accounts) as she has a registered business .

If she's visiting a family member in the UK for vacation and she plans to stay with that family member, then I believe it will be better for her to get an invitation letter from that family member so she can use that to support her visa application.

If she knows that her financial situation will not be easily understood by a third party, then it will be wise for her to explain it in the application or through a letter.

Hello @Cashmadam , ashirioluwa and other gurus in the house. Please I will like you all advice concerning applying for visit visa to the UK on basis of attending a one or two days legal or/and business conference.

I am planning on applying for a UK visa on the grounds of attending a law conference in November. This conference duration is one or two days.

However I am worried I will be refused visa seen as the conference is non-technical in nature and the duration is one/two days.

Please, I need honest advice on my chances and possible pitfalls when/if applying. Thanks
