CodeTemplarr: That is another angle of debate. Nothing has advantage and not disadvantage... But as it is, if you look my comment very well, you will see that I maintain the fact that, if federal policing is what we can still maintain, but officers should be posted to their state of origin till retirement. |

From the north to the South, the east, and the west of the country, the story is the same. Thousands of citizens have been kidnapped with their abductors communicating with their families using mobile phones to negotiate for ransom. Yet, the security agencies have been unable to track down the kidnappers. The above-highlighted statements are a misnomer. Your security agencies are in cahoots with the Fulani kidnappers. Both parties are like hand in glove. Surprisingly, there's always a military or police checkpoint yards away from the point of abduction or kidnapping yet these thieves and terrorists in security uniforms are yet to STOP a kidnapping. Just like a thief can NEVER arrest himself, so will your government NOT arrest itself. Your government is responsible for all the kidnappings by the TERRORIST FULANIS because it has an agenda! |

A security guard that u pay 30K monthly in a harch economy might start developing stealing mindset to compliment wat he receives before the end of the month, thesame will not be applicable to the one u pay 70K. He can decide to guard ur property with his life. That exactly is the reality that have beveled our security men in our country... My take! |

vanbonattel: that is not what I asked you. has all forms of negligence and corruption has been eliminated in all the states of the federation? Since you say "Nobody will allow his state to be worse", how are Nigerian states faring in terms of good governance, corruption and negligence? |

BeigJawnson: State governments say they can't pay their workers decent minimum wage. How will they be able to fund state police? |

lexy2014: And if they can't run state police, there is alternative, officers should only be posted to their state of origin and work in that state till retirement while been transferring from one local government to another in the same state of origin... This is what I said you should read in my fourth paragraph of my first comment before leeching on me... |

lexy2014: No, but whatever forms of negligence and corruption we have in states pales into insignificance when compared to the magnitude of what happens on the federal level, over the same two evils. But what I was trying to let you understand is that the ineptitude and corruption on the federal level is directly fueling every other evil on the state level, since every crime fighting, legal or economic controls are based on the federal level. States have no control over their crime rates, punishment, or economic performance. Hope you understand now? |

BeigJawnson: I didnt ask you for alternative. you are advocating for state police and you said BeigJawnson:. based on that and I asked you "State governments say they can't pay their workers decent minimum wage. How will they be able to fund state police?" |

vanbonattel: if you say that all forms of negligence and corruption have not been eliminated at the state level in nigeria, how come you earlier said that vanbonattel: you failed to answer this question...Since you say "Nobody will allow his state to be worse", how are Nigerian states faring in terms of good governance, corruption and negligence? so No, I dont understand what you are saying. |

lexy2014: If you are wise enough, you will see that I said and if they can't, and I talked about the alternative... So for your mind you thought I didn't learn about some states that claimed they can't pay their workers? Stop acting like a leech here just to prove how smart you are... |

BeigJawnson: can you show me where in the question I asked you, I asked you for alternative? "State governments say they can't pay their workers decent minimum wage. How will they be able to fund state police?" |
Re: Why Police Can't Track Kidnapper's Phone Calls by BeigJawnson(m): 8:44pm On Aug 31, 2024 |
lexy2014: You are not asking me alternative and the same alternative counters your dumb question... And if state can't fund state police, then there is an alternative of posting officers to their state of origin and not being posted to strange states they know nothing about... Simple and stop drooling on this issue. No argument. |
Re: Why Police Can't Track Kidnapper's Phone Calls by vanbonattel: 8:46pm On Aug 31, 2024 |
lexy2014: I am still right in what I was saying, because most negligence and corruption would be removed when states can control their own institutions. As long as federal government controls those institutions like police and judiciary, there will be no state best practices. |

Nigeria police (including any graft agency) would work if they want to work. But once, there is a sabotage in the intelligence, nothing works. Could you imagine that till today, Fmr Gov Yahaya Bello's way about is "unknown " |

Re: Why Police Can't Track Kidnapper's Phone Calls by BeigJawnson(m): 9:54pm On Aug 31, 2024 |
lexy2014:You did not ask me for alternative... Then since state government can't pay their workers minimum wage of a decent amount, then federal police should remain and officers can be only posted to their states of origin and police force will still be under federal government... |
Re: Why Police Can't Track Kidnapper's Phone Calls by lexy2014: 9:57pm On Aug 31, 2024 |
BeigJawnson: you are still talking about alternative even when you acknowledge that I didnt ask you for alternative. if you say I did not you for alternative, how does the alternative you are stating answer this question which did not ask you for alternative? "State governments say they can't pay their workers decent minimum wage. How will they be able to fund state police?" |
