Am currently undergoing my masters program here mexico. Am living in morelos we are 5 Nigerians here but would love to connect with other Nigerians who reside in the close by states.

When done with my program I intend using the CBP one time app to cross the land border into the US with my family by God's grace.

If we could create a WhatsApp community, it would be essential.

I came in here last year August 2023 so am just a year old.

The country is nice to some extent but the language barrier has Been my greatest challenge.

I would advice those who intend coming to start learning Spanish.

Hello Mr, please can you guide one through the steps you took to getting the admission into the school and the cost of living over there in Mexico.

Yes bro if you are the one seeking for it..
But if you have someone here inviting you be it your family, work or school. They will be the one to ask on your behalf and the embassy will invite you. Anytime

The admission call came up but before then, I have sent all the copy of document as pdf to a translating firm here in mexico to translate into Spanish.. after that I wrote to the school sending my transcript so that they could evaluate and check if o hot upto the required average. And they sent me the promedio (average)...
After that I applied and pay the application fee.
Wrote around 2 exams and was giving an admission letter during June.

The challenge then was proof of fund but since I was undergoing a research course covered by conacyt scholarship they waived it off.

And that's how I moved.

But now the system is very rigid..
You must present a certificate of Spanish proficiency which must only be gotten from the school

So what it means is that you must learn Spanish then apply and write the exam before you even start the Normal admission process.

Inability to present the certificate before d grace deadline giving to me is about making me to loss the scholarship for 6 months

Ok I had done that already but my account was banned.
1st get your official document authenticated at the ministries..
2nd step get your documents translated into Spanish.
3rdly learn how to speak Spanish because now it's a mandatory you write the Spanish exam from the school u want to apply and pass it even before your application commences

4thly your school should give you a proficiency in English certificate. It will also be authenticated and translated.

Then apply during openings which happens mostly early January or early August and pay the application fee.

For engineering you will write some mathematics exams and iQ exams.. so be prepared to write at least 3 exams .

When giving admission.. the conacyt scholarship covers up so you don't need to show proof of funds and the embassy would give you an invite.

Remember you must first send you translated transcript yo the school before applying so it could be converted and graded to know if you met the cut off cgp which is 8.0 and above

Once admitted the school will send you an admission letter through DHL and then the embassy will invite you..

But before the invitation you must send in your authenticated documents to the embassy for legalization.

And then prepare your flight ticket and money to sustain you for living for like 4 months before you start collecting your scholarship stipends.

I hope this helps out.

Hello, wanted to ask about how to go about proof of funds for a tourist visa? What if you don't have the equivalent amount in the stated format, is it possible to use a sponsorship letter from a relative with necessary proofs and documents indicated that they will take care of your expenses in Mexico. A bit confused with this as I don't have that amount stated for the tourist visa.
