Nigerians have on Monday stormed Abuja in protest against fuel scarcity.

The protests led by the Coalition of Concerned Civil Society Organizations of Nigeria, was initiated to create awareness and push the federal government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to act in response to the scarcity of fuel in the country.

Convener of the group, Comrade Aminu Abbas in a rally held at the Abuja Unity Fountain on Monday blamed the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), Mr. Mele Kyari for the unfortunate development.

Some of the inscriptions on the placards read: “We are tired of hearing stories about our refineries”, No direction, Kyari is just drifting with the wind”, “We want accountability in the affairs of NNPCL”.

The coalition while decrying the state of disrepair of the refineries, alleged sabotage of local refineries, claiming that the situation has gone from bad to worse, with no end in sight.

Why do we, the people, have to endure endless queues, inflated prices, and the daily uncertainty of whether we can fuel our vehicles or power our homes? The answer lies in the gross incompetence and mismanagement.

“We ask: what has Kyari done to alleviate this crisis? Where are the solutions? Why are our refineries, which should be the backbone of our fuel supply, still in disrepair?

“We are at a critical juncture in our nation’s history. President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda promises a new beginning for our country, a path to prosperity and security for all Nigerians”.

Lol, this country sef. One week one trouble 🤣🤣

It's not funny oooo, we have witchcraft in the place of government because tell me why they refused to give us electricity and still made it hard for us to power our homes by ourselves.

Gas is now going to 1500 per liter.

Bandits and kidnappers are having a field day.

Police and efcc dey harass the citizens anyhow.

Nigerians are angry and we are bottling up our anger, but one day na one day, everybody go answer him papa name

His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari, please come back and continue ruling us oh! We thought your administration was the height of calamity. We thought your administration was the height of cluelessness. We thought you were only for the north. How wrong were we!

As a matter of urgency, we need to rescue ourselves from the grips of Tinubulation. It's a matter of national importance. We cannot fold our hands and watch everything about our nationhood collapse before us due to one man's greedy desire of just being called a president.

Enough is enough!

Testing the microphone is going on..

When the masses will start singing the real song the Centre will no longer hold…

The hunger and insecurity is getting to the peak and people will soon start acting irrationally if nothing is done before December ending

They better start building bigger cells and turning caravans to cell because them go arrest people tire… the looting and destruction may become too massive …
People that are even working and earning salaries are hungry… how about the jobless people

This man came in after being high with whatever he takes, without thinking, made a nonsense pronouncement that 'subsidy is gone'. However, behind, he has been paying subsidies. Put confusion and hardship in the whole country.

This fuel price is no longer funny. You count 10k to buy only 10 liters of fuel cry cry

The protest that will rock Nigeria will not be planned nor announced. It will happen spontaneously. This one they will give one month advance notice cannot work because government will have enough time to neutralize it
