NNPC as sole buyer of Dangote fuel looks fishy. Why can't any marketer buy and sell? Make everybody go through NNPC again? 3 Likes |

BlueRayDick:I think it's even beyond that, after all he could have awarded them all those other roads, inflated as usual and they'd be making comparable profit. That road was approved for reasons beyond just your normal contract inflation. 3 Likes |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Itsrm(m): 11:26pm On Sep 02 |
izzou: At what price? Who wan pay for the fuel? They have been saying it severally that Dangote refinery will not bring down the price of PMS significantly. NNPC will have to lift from Dangote so they can subsidise. Another way they could have done it is subsidise the crude to dangote and allow him sell to everyone but we know they don't have enough crude to give him. And I'm not even sure they can do that as a member of OPEC. |

afrodoc2: Tinubu has to be the on top of the list of Nigerian president's that don't give a 4ck about optics and conflict of interests. He runs things like mafia. How can u be so self unaware as to awarding contracts to someone like Chagoury without even giving any 4cks? 4 Likes 1 Share |

WhoDeyHause: Is it thunder that will arrest him ❓. He just visited an ICC member state yet they treated him like a Royalty and rolled out the Red carpet for him from his aircraft to the ground he walked on. Are we now depending on thunder⚡ to affect the ICC arrest warrant ❓❓. International law and ICC died after the invasion of Iraq. Moreover, it's a public knowledge that ICC was established to prosecute African leaders. 1 Like

Theflint1: if they dont reach the actual price, the smuggling will continue. it is what it is, and it is 101% fked up all this talk about banning jerrycans, stopping people with jerrycans in their cars, is about curbing smuggling. quite literally they are doing diversion in stations. black marketers come with 5 to 10 50 litre jerrycans even when there is no scarcity 1 Like |

GloriousGbola: So instead of tightening your borders, you'll prefer to suffocate your people to death. Master class move, i must confess. Are you also aware that it is the exchange rate that encourages the smuggling too? So if you increase it to 1,000 naira, it is still profitable to buy in Nigeria and sell in Togo 6 Likes |

GloriousGbola: Is it under APC that smuggling started ? Since I was in primary school smugglers have always existed . APC is just a party that blames everything and everyone for its self inflicted woes. They have blamed people , blamed things and even blamed God. 🤦♂️ If smuggling is the problem , isn’t it expected that they give the agency responsible for curbing smuggling ( customs) an ultimatum to reduce smuggling to the barest minimum ? Why do they always think everybody is daft to believe all these their mumbo jumbo excuse for incompetence ? 6 Likes |

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 9:07am On Sep 03 |
izzou: you know as well as i do that border controls will continue to fail those directives by ppmc officials [no jerrycans in stations, no peddling by stations) also failed any form of petrol subsidy is going to fail because multiple nigerians will turn it into a hustle it is the same way we cannot fix oil theft police, customs, frsc, army - they will simply collect their cut and send the smugglers on their way. 50% of the current problem is because it is more profitable to move fuel to the border rather than sell here. if i buy fuel from mobil at 620 and sell it in togo at 1300, it is good business for me. that is what diversion is. as a 101% hustler, you know that all border controls are as effective as police checkpoints. |
