It's fascinating how y'all quickly blame overspeeding for every car accident that happens.

One thing I have come to know personally is, death comes in different form and there's no control over it, when it comes to death, you can't always be careful.

We have seen people died while they fall inside bathroom, will you say people shouldn't go inside bathroom just because they can die if they do?

Overspeeding kills, "Yes" but people still overspeed and nothing happens, my own is, know when to speed and when not to...

Overspeeding kills and that's on period. The only way to argue for or against is through experience, so let us save ourselves the mentions.

The higher your speed, the less control you have on the vehicle.

I cannot advise you to stop or slow down. Na your motor, na your fuel, na your life.

But just know that overspeeding is bad and can kill.

PS: This is not related to what happened to our dear friend, lest we deviate

So, everyone that have oversped, have died?

See, there's nothing that cannot kill in this life, what you should know is, you can't always be careful when it comes to death...

I'm not justifying overspeeding here, but I'm only trying to reshape your mindset so you don't assume every car accident is as a result of overspeeding...

At what speed level do you categorize as overspeeding?

You see how you have twisted the whole thing?

I said many accidents (emphasis on many) are caused because one of the vehicles involved must have been overspeeding. Where did i say everybody that oversped died?

This is not even a topic for argument. The data is there for you to check. Accidents from overspeeding are highest, compared to others

If you want to do 200, it is okay. I am not discouraging anybody.

It was just an opinion i hold close. Overspeeding is bad

And by the way, every road has its recommended limit. Doing above that is overspeeding.

Lagos Benin is 100km. You are boasting of doing 150. That's overspeeding

I didn't twist anything, and statistics shows that majority of road accidents is due to brake failure and not overspeeding..

The point is never to assume every car accident is caused by overspeeding.

Anyway, overspeeding kills and who will do 200km/h on Nigeria road? cheesy

Nah lie joor, how can you say 90/100km/h is too much, or probably you don't drive on travel highway.

Me wey do 150km/h on Ore road, one thing is, know your car, and how balance it is when swerving and high speed won't scare you...

Just as you know your car, you also know all the other cars on the road. You know that a bike man will not try to run across the road while you're doing your 150km/hr. You also know that your tire cannot give way. And if we ask about this car that is balanced and stable, e go be one Toyota jalopy with basic suspension

Continue.

Bro, let's not argue over it, you have already concluded in your mind that only overspeeding causes road accidents, you even said your statistics shows overspeeding is the major cause of raod accidents which i said it's not but brake failure.

Someone even quoted you that container can fall on your car, which is also road accident but you still went ahead to lay emphasis on not exceeding 100km/h cox you believe people that had road accident must have done beyond that limit...

Boss, have a blessed week ahead.

I don't believe God created anybody an destined him to die horribly.

Is that how God planned it? No

PS: Na my opinion oh.

And i also believe many accidents are avoidable; Overspeeding being the number 1 cause. The moment anything goes wrong while speeding, you have less than 3 seconds to think your way through.

I personally have limited my speed to 90/100km this year, at most, and i thank God i have been keeping to it.

My era of Need for Speed is gone.

See your myopic thinking, do you think I will do 150KM/H on a road that have intersections? I even said travel highway, which means no city around where a bike can just appear from nowhere...

Infact, people that actually do above 120km/h at some point won't know they are doing upto that speed level, coz they could see the road ahead of them is clear. And one thing about car is, the little you step on the gas, the more it increases in speed and that little step on the gas gives car more stability on the road while the speed increases, so you might not feel the speed until you glance through your dashboard..

Then you said the car go be one Toyota jalopy with basic suspension, so, does that mean other cars that aren't with basic suspension can overspeed?

Omoapena what are u arguing gangan angry
The major cause of road accident is over speeding. Even a primary school pupil knows that.
Even if u are on a smooth free highway in space, over speeding can cause a vehicle to tumble and kill the occupants.
The faster u go, d longer your vehicle will travel before coming to a complete stop after applying the brakes.
The faster u go, d higher ur center of gravity when negotiating a bend.
The faster u go, d shorter the time u have to react to sudden changes.
The faster u go, the slower you are to adjust to your environment.

Speed limits are advised so as to reduce the instances of mortality on collision both for the motorist and the pedestrians. These speed limits are for standard conditions o, not in Nigeria that nothing is standard. Therefore, in Nigeria u must knever drive close to the recommended speed limit self, talkless of exceeding it.

U cannot change or dismiss age-long, experiment-based and evidence-backed facts just like that.
I like you and will advise u never do above 100km/hr except there is danger to life.
Better to arrive late than dead ontime.

NB: Gazzuzz was not driving when he was involved in the accident. If the driver who hit him wasn't over speeding, maybe he wouldn't have died.

As we pray for God's preservation and protection, we also owe ourselves a duty not to jump into fire and pray it doesn't burn us.

That scenario with the bike man is what I have seen play out more than once on highways.

But then, like I said earlier, continue.

This was my brother last year along Shagamu Benin expressway, just before Ore, bike man shoots out of the bush into the road. He said the car somersaulted and ended up on the other lane going back to Shagamu. Thankfully everyone came out unhurt.

Bike men and animals are very common on highways.

Thank God for the life of your brother and those involved

I feel really sad when I see stuffs like this.
I have 3 tiktok accounts that pay me 100-200 usd monthly on bad months

One account is on Politics
One account is on religion and the last account is on Japa.

You don't need much. Just create a UK tiktok account and posts videos that are against Tinubu's government. You will get 10k followers within 2 weeks and be making roughly 20-100 usd weekly.

Get contents from FB, YouTube, Nairaland and Twitter to post on tiktok against Tinubu. The rest will be history.

Please how can one create a UK tiktok account?

Anyone who travels frequently must have experienced it at least once. Some people are tired of life and are looking for who to kill them.

Glad to hear everyone came out unhurt.

Well, like I've earlier, overspeeding kills, no disputes, but overspeeding isn't the cause of every road accident...

Lol @Need for speed is gone. That thing can be diabolical. 1. vibes on a good day. I think music influence speed 2. When one car just out speed one and you be like hmmm, never 😂 that’s how the spirit of speeding enters.

Speeding is bad and I don’t encourage it, but once one is on the road anything can happen. We can only play our part and hope our days are longer. I’ll never forget the Sunday container fell on korope that had like the whole family in it. These korope guys always park at the entrance of the bridge to load and pathetic to say they still do this. Who do we blame for this? Even on Ikorodu road, they will stop in the middle of the road to drop and pick passengers. Sometimes it seem as if people’s lives are just in the hands of these drivers. Including the truck drivers too.

No need to draw conclusions this way.

You don't know why he personally delivered it. What if he had a personal business in Edo, and decided to use a stone for two birds?

Accidents happen. Even from your house to Lekki, it can happen. Should we now say everyone should get a driver or a boy to drive him?

The only thing i draw from any accident is to drive carefully, and speed kills.

Accident happens, even if you decide to trek sef.

Well, this is me thinking out of concern. I've thought about Gazzuz death severally and couldn't fathom why he has to go so early.

Been thinking, what if he had done something differently, but then, the deed has been done. May God rest his soul.

For those that haven't met him in person, they may not understand. I just keep picturing his face, his workshop, his ambitions, etc. But it's well.

We can't rule out living cautiously though. That's why there's variation in life expectancy. The life expectancy in Nigeria differs from that of United States, because there are factors that will shorten your life more than the so called fate we want to hold onto as the determinant of our longevity on earth.

Years back, when Mitsubishi L300 was reigning, I was on a first bus heading to onitsha from Enugu, early morning trip. One mad man (I don't know if he was actually mad, though he appeared like one) started crossing the road as we were approaching. Men, the driver was on 120/130 km/hr, he didn't touch the brake pad o. He smashed the man with the side of his bus and kept moving. Everyone in the bus screamed, only for he to tell us that at times they are criminals/armed robbers in disguise. Once u stop, e don be. Moreover, on a highway, that u don't just stop like that.

But we know in Nigeria, if police catch u, wahala.

Meanwhile, on my way back same day around 2pm, that same mad man was caught by the police at a checkpoint and they were flogging him with koboko grin.
