I saw mine after it expired, too, so I just clicked "Forgot password" and entered my email again, and they resent the link. After logging in, my problem is that I cannot see my appointment date or time. It just shows one scheduled appointment. Is anyone else having this issue? I am travelling from another town... don't want to get there, and they tell me my dates have changed. Rutty69: |

Hello all, I'll appreciate if I can get answers to my questions here. I read that DS160 expires after one year. The DS160 which I used to book my appointment is one year already because I filled it around August 2023. My appointment is around October 2024. My question is: do I need to fill another ds160 form. If yes, can I still upload on the new visa site. NB: I have not received any mail and it is even more than 2 business days since the new service came online. |
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by AdisaMighty: 3:52pm On Sep 02 |
I don’t think you need to. My last Visa was approved on an over 1 year D160. Let hear other expert opinions tho. jargaban: 1 Like |

jargaban: 🤠 1. Yes. DS-160 expires after 1 year, but your interview appointment is still valid. To buttress this fact, the USA embassy even stipulates that " your DS-160 uploaded photo must be very recent of not more than 6 months. 2. Go and fill another DS-160 with your recent photo. Yes of course , DS-160 is your main VISA application, so there will always be an avenue to upload it, and update it on any given portal. PS: You will receive the mail. The update is still ongoing , and the embassy has millions of applicants to deal with. 🙏 2 Likes |

My dad attended his USA visa interview in abuja last Monday, August 26th. I had signed up on the old appointment page to pick up his passport at DHL benin city. Now, how do we collect his passport or even track his passport? No email was ever sent. Do we keep waiting or do we need to sign up anywhere? Please help. Thanks |

trv14: 🤠 1. VISA issuance after approval is 5 business days, according to the USA embassy. Let's assume that the embassy was busy, and today makes it the 5th day, counting from last week Tuesday. They will send the notification any time from now. 2. Where to track the VISA ; https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=NIV 3. After notification email, you will sign up here to be able to schedule pickup; https://www.oisservices.com/services 🙏 2 Likes |

Hello everyone, Please advise. I filled the DS 160 and paid Visa fees to GT bank end of July 2024 for my self and family. On trying to book for appointment I saw the earliest appointment date was in Feb., 2026 so I thought to wait till the new appointment page comes up maybe we will get an earlier date (saw a pop up announcement on the website). I just tried to logon to the new Visa appointment website and it is telling me user is inactive. I hope we can still proceed to get an appointment. Thank you |

Hello everyone, hope you’re having a good day. I recently arrived in the U.S. on a K1 visa and can’t work legally at the moment. Does anyone know of any job opportunities, possibly under-the-table work? I’m currently in Virginia. I would greatly appreciate any help or leads. Thank you! 1 Like |
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by JohnZak: 2:15pm On Sep 03 |
This is probably not what you want to hear but I will say it anyway. It is not worth it!! You are legal and your future spouse can petition for a GC on your behalf as soon as you get your marriage license. Why do you want to risk throwing this away. I realize that employment authorization approval may be taking a while but possibly jeopardizing your legal status for what is most likely a minimum wage under-the-table job opportunity is not worth it at all. Additionally, you and your spouse will also end up lying on your IRS tax forms because you will not declare the under-the-table wages as income. This is fraud and illegal. Definitely not worth it!! I received password reset link to reset my password on d new portal which I did successfully. Upon downloading my new appointment letter, I was surprised that the letter came without my appointment details. No applicant name, no application no, no passport number, no visa type written on it. So I cannot present it as my own. I have attempted to create a ticket and attach the letter but it didn't attach. Meanwhile, I still have d previous appointment letter from d old portal and My appointment is coming next week. Please advise me on what to do Please how do I resolve this |

Cashmadam: Go to the website: www.usvisaappt.com Select visa then select country as Nigeria if that is where the appointment will be holding On the left side of the page down the screen, you will see 2 blue bars showing: click to chat and click to talk under it. You can pick either. .

Cashmadam: To raise a ticket, go to your profile on the new service provider and select support from the list on your left side, it will take you to the page where you will the 'create a ticket' option near the general information just like in the picture attached.

Hello everyone, So I paid another visa fee via card and it took me to “pending appointment request”. When I click on the pending appointment request, it takes me to the dates but I’m not able to proceed once I pick a date. Is anyone in same boat? I thought paying with card let you book right away? |

Hello everyone. For interview waiver applicants that submitted before the new platform was introduced, has anyone received a pickup mail? |
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Browser123(f): 8:47pm On Sep 03 |
I asked last week if anyone has received a pickup email and no one has shared their experience so I'm sharing mine as I got our passports today. We were scheduled to leave for the US last Friday but I had to move our flights because we did not have our passports. I'm on a work visa so I have return tickets to the US. The new site says to wait 48 hours but no one seems to know anything. If it's 48 hours from August 26th, we are way past that and no email still. I understand a system change can be disruptive but this was done very badly. So today I created an account on the OIS website and set up an appointment to pickup our passports, it let me do so @ $0 and my pickup location was dhl muri okunola which was the delivery location I chose when I set up the interview waiver appointment. I went there and they said they do not have the passports so I should go to OIS. We got to OIS and there was a lot of people waiting to pickup their passports. The common theme seems to be that no one received pickup emails, they just showed up like I did. DHL has been taking passports to OIS so if you can track your passport on the CEAC website and it's been issued for a while and you are on a time crunch, go to OIS. Be prepared to wait a bit, there were lists of names and passport numbers that they were going to check first then they either tell you they don't have it and to come back or they have it. In my case they had our passports and I paid #48k per passport to receive them. Good luck to everyone. 1 Like |

Hi Browser123, Thank you so much for the information. I'm in a similar situation, my visa was issued last week but I'm yet to receive a pickup email. I just scheduled my pickup like you advised. Do you mind sharing the OIS location, also what documents do I need to present to collect my passport? P.S. my visa had to go through administrative processing, and I was required to submit the 221g I got with my passport. Browser123: |
