On the macro level,things are sure looking up,I can attest to the fact about increased export receipts......do you know remittances have increased with the devaluation of the naira.....if the economy was as bad and unserviceable as obidients claim we would have been having serious riots on the streets......all everyone needs do is to get ready to adjust and take advantage of the number opportunities still available out there.

Another borrowing on the way, if these funds were channeled into the economy there would be positive impact, but sadly it will sit int he hands of the few, creating an artificial surplus of money in the economy leading to more inflation. And the CBN will increase MPR again.

When you understand that it is only govt borrowers that profit during inflation you now see why your MPR has to increase every month.

I am not sure you read that article?

Dear Jagaban lovers,

What is the progress update on Tinubu’s eight point agenda he promised Nigerians in 2023? This is over one year now. How far?

1. food security;
2. poverty eradication;
3. growth,
4. job creation;
5. access to capital;
6. inclusion;
7. rule of law; and
8. fighting corruption

https://punchng.com/translating-tinubus-8-point-agenda-to-recovery/?amp

What about the 50 million jobs promised between 2023 to 2026? How many has Tinubu and his government created?

https://www.nairaland.com/7821154/tinubu-sets-3-year-economic-revival

Food security - this is a work in progress as the damage that had been done to that sector over the years cannot be solved in just 12 months.however we know serious effort is being geared towards achieving this,you need to contact NADF,normal and so many agric funds out there.

Poverty eradication - there is no way you can eradicate poverty if you are not productive,many of Nigeria's human capital are in the wrong and minimally productive spheres in the economy,many of the okada,danfo and keke operators would have been more productive working on their farms or factories but they rather prefer to take those menial jobs than being productive.

Job creation - there has always been jobs but the problem we have is under employment.....I still haven't seen anyone who is ready to work and earn a living who doesn't have somewhere to go to do that.....I repeat,I still haven't seen anyone.....infact unemployment rates is worse abroad with many living on govt support abroad than we have here......there is work for anyone who really wants to work.

Access to capital- there is far higher access to capital in Nigeria today than it was 10 years ago,take that to the bank.

Your other points raised are rather too lucid to be responded to.

PBAT is a dodged man. He will get us there. We will begin to see the trickle down effect of all these policies. He has successfully ;

1. Reduced FX round tripping
2. Increase crude oil production and oil revenue
3. Went after oil thieves and bunkerers
4. Dismantling the petrol subsidy/importation cabal by supporting Dangote Refinery
5. Pushing the security agencies to reduce kidnapping and banditry so that northern farmers can go back to the farms.
6. Reducing corruption and outright theft by evil servants and their enablers.
7. Local Government financial autonomy
8. Of course, turned Atiku and Obi to BBC commentators 😁😁😁

The baba of them all is coming.........

Where did he get Lagosians to since 1999 for all the trillions annual budget, apart from plenty cholera from lack of ordinary pipe borne water

A 45-year-old resident and father of three, Mr.Fatai Lamide told PUNCH HealthWise that no building in the community has toilet facilities.

The Oyo State-born mechanic said, “We don’t have toilet in this area, including our compound. This canal that you see serves as toilet to all of us living in this area. We defecate inside nylon and throw it inside the canal.

“For people that don’t want to use nylon, they have a special bucket that they use after which they pour it inside the canal too.

Lawmaker scores Lagos Water Corporation low

A Lagos State lawmaker, Mr Saka Fafunmi, on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction at the performance of the state Water Corporation.

Fafunmi, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), said in Ikeja that the corporation had not been able to justify statutory allocations to it.

The lawmaker, who represents Ifako-Ijaiye Constituency 1 at the assembly, spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said that the corporation had the capacity to generate much fund internally through water rates but had relied solely on government funding because of poor performance.

'' Anyone that is using water will be willing to pay for it; the corporation has not been giving us water.

"Is there any new community that Water Corporation has given water? People depend on boreholes; even government estates have industrial boreholes.

"Why do we keep pumping money into an agency that does not give us the desired results?'' he asked.

He noted that the Adiyan Waterworks was located at Ifako-Ijaiye, where many of the residents had resorted to digging boreholes as a means of getting water.

''A lot of people are falling sick because they don't drink clean water.

''In the same compound, where you have sewage, is where you have a borehole.

''There is no way you can manage the sewage that it will not leak and pollute the water; everyone drinking such is drinking contaminated water,'' he said.

The lawmaker urged the corporation to increase water reticulation and supply to residents.
