NNPC cannot sell Dangotes petrol until they finish selling the cargo they just imported from abroad. It was in the other news that even as at yesterday, cargoes were being discharged at the port by NNPCL. These cargoes must be sold first at the price they were imported before they will know what to do with Dangotes petrol |

CyrusVI: Is what we are experiencing at the moment really a scarcity issue because fuel seems to be everywhere but expensive? If it's really a scarcity issue, why did NNPCL increase its pump price instead of fixing the issue of scarcity? |
Re: NNPC Yet To Lift Our Petrol - Dangote by chidiokay: 1:45pm On Sep 05, 2024 |
gabbasin: we dont "need" NNPc in all of these, there is no way dangote fuel will more expensive than the current price Nigerians are struggling and wasting productive hours at filling stations to buy .. if Nigerians are buying at #1200 per litre instead of shutting down the country with protest then we dont Need Nnpc to subsidize dangote what we need is real competitive market where forces of demand & supply dictate the price, let private marketers lift directly from dangote and watch competitive market come to play But the NNPC as swore to keep Nigerians in bondage whats the essence of local refinery if the subsidy regime is still in play, which cost will the govt be subsidizing. some of you lack iQ to chook mouth |

Can't other independent marketers buy straight from Dangote? Why wait for NNPCL? I thought downstream sector has been fully 'deregulated'. Some economic terms no just make sense for Nigeria matter. |

Ha! Nnpc truck have not even started lifting the Dangote petrol? Wonders shall never end!. From basic understanding, nnpc said 3 vessels of imported fuel just arrived the ports. This may mean the imported ones have to be sold off before Dangote fuel will be lifted. Abi will cabal let their billions invested in imported fuel go to waste? That may be the reason nnpc said only them will lift Dangote fuel for now. Imagine this is not the case and independent marketers could just go to Dangote and load, it will make all their just arrived imported stock not sellable. It is all about personal interest, meanwhile ordinary Nigerians are suffering! |
Re: NNPC Yet To Lift Our Petrol - Dangote by nedekid: 2:09pm On Sep 05, 2024 |
crazygod:How will nnpc then sell the the newly arrived stock from abroad if marketers are lifting the obviously cheaper Dangote fuel? |

Aha! But yesterday there this video he did which gave the impression that PMS was being lifted. As long as he cannot sell to major distributors in the country outside NNPC, it's a scam and a shame. One is forced to ask, Why does NNPCL not want other players involved, if the so called transparency and ability to track trucks claim is credible? 2 Likes |

Crude oil gotten from Nigeria is refined in Nigeria by Dangote refinery. Pump price of PMS in Nigeria should be somewhere between N200 - N300/litre. This will crush the hyperinflation currently ravaging Nigerians. 1 Like |

ogododo:Readers should take note of the operative word:"highly regulated". It's laying the foundation of what to come.Dangote may initially sell at 750 or even 650.Myopic people and those with short memories would be jumping and praising Dangote and FG. 2 months into the "Dangote petrol monopoly regime",they would come out and say government says it can no longer bear the price differentials because it's encouraging smuggling into neighbouring countries and is causing the government trillions to maintain, the price will then go up to say 1k for another month or 2. That would be the last statement from the government and prices will start rising automatically till it gets to 1800 or at least 1500 depending on if the ₦ continues tumbling. But no one should be in any illusion;fuel price will definitely get to at least 1500 by next year. |

chidiokay:I still believe this is still a ruse and that dangote refinery is not working, those fuel are imported from Malta ..and the entire charade of a game is for dangote and tinubu to cut off the entire petroleum subsidy market cartel from the billion dollar industry …they are just testing the water with their legs to see how much Nigerians are willing to pay without protesting |

chidiokay:Go and find out how much Dangote sell his diesel, does competition means selling below cost price? If Dangote is to sell petrol to marketers today, the price will almost be at par with diesel, has the competitive market brought the price of diesel below 1,000 naira? Let's face reality, it's only through subsidy that can make us get petrol below 1,000. Dangote is buying crude from NNPC at the naira equivalent of the dollar cost, it's not as if he's getting discount and the cost of refining will be built into the price at the end of the day. If we want it cheaper, it has to be through NNPC subsiding the price 1 Like |

aariwa: lets assume the whole dangote fuel is ready is a charade ... is dangote investing $20billion on a refinery also a charade abeg to what end How can someone build a $20bn refinery just to creat a "ruse" naa so you think Nigerians important reach Despite all the promises, timelines when ph refinery no ready dem creat ruse, or why dem no kuku use ph refinery to creat ruse instead of going thru the rigorous stress of building a new refinery just for ruse, can ruse generate more income for dangote than selling petrol Abeg, lets reason what we say sometimes |

chidiokay:No the refinery is not ruse but not completed yet. The money he will make from the monopoly of PMS importation is what he he looking at to help him complete it and possibly buy up and repair the existing PH, kaduna and Warri refineries years after, that way he will get to control petroleum prices in entire west Africa like he did the cement monopoly which catapulted him one of the richest Africans about 10-15 years ago or thereabout |

aariwa: Oga slow down with your conspirancy theory, e like be you tew dey watch netflix mexican series You've miss the part dangote imported crude from US, and a media like bloomberg even carried the news Lets even agree Nigeria are that gullible (handicap -2), you earnestly think a saharareport or a david hundeyin or bloomberg won't sniff a ruse. Oga you need know as you dey hold breath fart na so some dey wear stesthoscope hear am There is no way Dangote can ever have monopoly with NNPC in the picture, you dont have a structure like NNpc in cement industry in real sense dangote dont have monopoly in cement, cos their is elephant, lafarge cement but thats an arguement for another day 1 Like |
