Thanks boss, I have already placed an order. Please can you recommend any low watt ceiling fan, the qasa i saw on jumia is 75+5w, and that's kind of high for me. Thanks.
qasa ac dc ceiling fan is 55w on the highest speed.
Duravolt is 35w @ max speed.. but I prefer qasa

Please I need solar configuration idea

I have

12 pieces of 300watt Canadian solar panels
5kwh lithium battery
4.2kva SMS hybrid inverter (about 500vdc over input)

Should I just allow them connect all the panels in series? Also will a 6mm solar cable be ok?
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by obitobe: 3:51pm On Sep 06
what is the Voc and Isc of the panels. please share the inverter data sheet.

These panels are relabeled, there is Jinkos and the likes that you could have got at similar price.

Anyways, you can check each panel if they output aligned the the Sticker, they should all be in series.
6s2p will also work.

6mm if okay

Connect the panels in series but before it is connected to the inverter, the installer should check the final voltage. what you should be getting is meant to be around 400v.

6mm cable is good

Was about to say same. I hate Nigerians who relabel solar panels just to make sales. It makes a nonsense of the spec sheet. Best way to have an idea of the true VoC is to measure the voltage during peak sunshine with zero shadow on the solar panels and with the solar panels squarely facing the sun.

Sorry bro but u got fake panels. Canadian solar doesnt have 300watts panels well last time i checked. Got similar panels too and getting way below stated watts. Have 5 of it and max I got was 750 and thats with heavy load on. Normal use is around 500 to 600watts.
If u avnt installed, pls return and get it swapped for higher wattage tier 1 panels (400w and above).
A 4mm wire wud suffice as ur current is low if all connected in series. (<20amps)

I have added another 5kwh to my setup to enable ne have 1 day autonomy. I alao have a timer switch for my freezer. Previously when I had only 5kwh battery installed It switches on the freezer by

On 8.30am and
Off 5.30pm

Based on this arrangement by morning my battery is about 35% (5kwh)

But after adding another 5kWh making a total of 10kWh battery. I did a calculation and arrived at the on/off times for the freezer

On 6am and
Off 11pm

By morning my battery's percentage is at +/- 60% (10kWh)

If it happens to be a cloudy weather I cam go on without the need for grid dependency.

This way i don't worry anyone with switching off the lights when not in use etc...

Cost of equipment so far
Inverter 423k
LFPB 5kWh 1.350m
LFPB 5kWh 1.071m
PV array 18nos x 300Wp 480k. (warehouse clearance sale)
Timer switch 12k
WiFi module for online control and monitor 51k

Load on the system
1. TVs 2nos (65 and 47inch
2. Fans 5nos
3. Microwave
4. Freezer 250L
5 Bedside fridge
6. Several LED Light
7. Home entertainment
8. Laptop etc.

Its amazing I have bo idea whether there is NEPA light or not.

This week we got news that we have finally been dumped on Bandit A.

I immediately removed some of the few things still left og EKEDC to inverter.

1. Electric boiler - moved
2. Microwave - moved
3. Outdoor security lights - Pending when electrician comes
4. Washing machine - partially. I use extension box.

Observation.
-So far so good, its going well.
- I recorded harvest peak at 3.3kW for the first time too.
- My solar panels are split in two separate locations. The ground mounted has started seeing better radiation.

You may want to try Power Deluxe. Its low wattage and uses brushless motor so gives a quieter operation and good volume of breeze.

Nice update madam.
The electricity distributors will just move you to band A without notice, worst case is some people don't enjoy the band A number of hours.

They also moved us to Band A without warning last month.

Grid is effectively just for running the fridge once I go to bed + heaters in the morning. Otherwise, I'm on inverter all the time. Band A too expensive abeg.
