COOL10:

"If this, if that, If this, If that. If this happened, that wouldn't have happened; If this didn't happen, that would have happened." Guy, you're talking hypothesis, I'm talking facts. Your obsession with false assumptions is too evident.

You said that Rohr would have failed against Ghana just like Eguavoen did. That's very laughable because if there's anything that Rohr proved to Nigerians, it's his undeniable ability to qualify us for tournaments WITH EASE, something his predecessors failed at woefully.

Under Gernot Rohr, not for once did Nigerians bring out calculators to check our chances of qualifying. Rohr defeated Cameroon(Then African Champions), 4-0, beat Algeria(3-1) and defeated Zambia (Former African Champions) 1-0, to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, so who the fvck is Ghana that Rohr wouldn't have destroyed?

You said a good coach would have taken the inexperienced team that Rohr took to the 2019 AFCON to the final, so now I ask, if you really believe that, why did Eguavoen get knocked out of the Round of 16 of the 2021 AFCON? No be the same players him carry with few additions? Why dem knock am out like thief wey dem catch for market? According to your standards, it means Eguavoen is not a good coach. He's terrible.

Stop trying to cover up the failures of Eguavoen. Millions of Nigerians, home and abroad witnessed his stinking incompetence. He was given two jobs that required him to win the AFCON and qualify us for the World Cup and he failed terribly at them. He couldn't even get us the final of the AFCON, at least that would have saved him some time.

Rohr on the other hand met all the expectations given to him by the NFF. He reached the Round of 16 of the 2018 World Cup and qualified us to the 2019 AFCON semi final. He also qualified us for the 2021 AFCON that Eguavoen got disgraced out of. When last did Nigeria get knocked out of an AFCON Round of 16? Shame no dey catch una?

Hate Rohr all you want, but I won't stay here and watch you shiiit on his achievements. And you're wrong, no be till 2030 we go drag this matter, because I ready to drag am TILL KINGDOM COME!!!!! The question is : ARE YOU READY? 🀣

We were knocked out by Argentina 2-1 in the group stage of 2018 world... He didn't qualify us for round 16πŸ™‚

Mujtahida:

Bro, is it for the sake of Rohr that you went all the way? Save your energy. Rohr ain't worth it.

He started with a bang and ended with a whimper. Better is the end of a matter than it's beginning so says the good book.

I will wager that if Eguavoen was given the seven years that Rohr was given he'd have possibly performed better.

I do not disparage Rohr's achievements but I don't think he's the standard by which to judge anybody.

Bruv, I have no problem with people's individual opinions and who they decide to love or hate, but it's wrong to shiit on people's achievements in order to justify personal bias. Comparing Rohr to Eguavoen is an insult. Wetin Eguavoen A.K.A "You know Guardiola" don achieve as a coach, wey people wan dey compare am to Gernot Rohr?

The thing with Nigerians is that we seem to have a short memory. We forget quickly. We've forgotten the cloud of shame and disgrace that hovered across this country when we were absent in back to back AFCONs.

We're like spoilt little children who feel like we deserve the whole world and then go on to humiliate and insult the people who helped us in the first place.

If Nigeria was a white Man's land and Rohr was a black man, the whole world would have called us racists because of how we treated and still treat him. That's the simple truth. All I'm asking for is honesty and fairness when it comes to making our personal judgements.

3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1.

Well, At least some folks here were right. Egu was always gonna pick Ndidi over Onyedika.

Osimhen wasn't expected to start to be frank but I expect him to get involved at some point.

Super Eagles going 3-4-3?

Okay, this looks like a 3-4-3 at first glance at the lineup. 2 central midfielders. 2 wingbacks (fullbacks playing WB)... 3 CBs... 3 man frontline with Boniface flanked by Chuks and Lookman or could it be a 3-4-1-2?

Why is Simon Moses not starting 🀦

Yes. But that's because Chuks was benched. Here, Chuks starts and Lookman takes the LW which is Simon's preferred role.

I meant the names in the lineup
Onyedika, onyeka or dele bashiru needs to be in that midfield
Moses Simon on the wings
Ndah at defence....
Because if that's truly the line up walai even draw we fit no see
I don't see anything wrong with this formation. If you look well, it is a pure attacking formation with nice defensive set up. I love boniface in that strikers role. He may drop deep to help the midfield(highly likely) . The dangerous guys in these formation are lookman and chukwueze

No, Iwobi is better. Knowing Rohr, his team will park the bus so we need Iwobi's creative passes to split them.

Had it been we were playing against an attack minded opponent, I would prefer Onyedika for his defensive skills.

Nothing do that lineup or formation. That's the best we have available. Unless you wanted us to start a rusty Osimhen.

Those wingbacks can overlap to make it a five-man attack in case Rohr's boys pack the bus as expected.

Chukwueze?πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Okay

I wonder why Chukwueze has been flopping for the SE lately. In his first games for us, he was untouchable, dribbling three or four players in one run. I wonder what happened.

I hope we get prime Chukwueze today.

It’s the same issue that we have not resolved…playing a 2 man midfield.

Ndidi, Iwobi and Onyeka/Onyedika should be the standard midfield. At least 3 for solidity. We keep asking Iwobi to do a job as a holding midfielder and he isn’t that.

We have the players, but don’t set them up for success.

The team is far too unbalanced.

I see your point but Eguavoen has always been a wingplay man. He believes in attacking through the wings and not the center so I think that's what will happen today. That's why he has wingbacks plus wingers.

Iwobi in the middle won't be needed much.

I never said anything was wrong with it, did I? The response to that question was just funny and that's what I'm reacting to.

It's a good lineup. I just hope Eguavoen can do his subs with timely precision when/if it is needed.
