so you are saying if Rohr has these crop of players, he will fail?
i don't think so

Odunayaw:
Na now I feel like descending on you for daring to make Rohr look so good that it will take a miracle to beat him.

Was being sarcastic to the Osimhen naysayers

Goke7:

We have a loaded attack to be too reliant on Oshimen. I loved that osihmen started from the bench in this game.

And point of correction osihmen is not overrated if he didn’t score the game would have ended 1-0

How about Amodu?
Stupid me to forget the great Amodu, I'll place him right after Keshi...he comes in second for me

Be like na im Twitter antics vex na im dey do charlesemeka85 but we should give him time. He was in good position but fluffed his lines. We need to encourage him. We need all our men sharp.

Yes! OSIMHEN JUST DISPLACED THE YAK ON THE ALL TIME TOP SCORERS LIST OF THE SUPER EAGLES.

ONLY SEGUN ODEGBAMI (23) AND RASHIDI YEKINI (37) HAS more SUPER EAGLES goals than THE Monster Machine.

History beckons.
took him 36 games to do while it took Yak 58 games

According to the match stats, we completed 435 passes today.. I don't think we have reached that number in recent games.. at the AFCON in particular, I doubt we completed up to 300 passes in a game..

that being said, I don't think this 2 man midfield will benefit us in the long run, especially with Iwobi starting.... Iwobi is a fantastic player most of the time for the SE, but he isn't a workaholic, and partnering him with Ndidi or any other DM will lead to both gassing out quicker... Eguavon needs to reconsider..

I wasn’t surprised with those stats when you factor in what we played in the first half the eagles have not been that sharp in a long while with fast recovery runs and progression it was so lovely to the eyes, hope our tiki taka fans here were impressed.

For the midfield am not sure any eagles coach will want to sacrifice any of our upfront players to add to the midfield. Our strength is still upfront but perhaps as the game wind down then I think your suggestion should be considered

Where was this performance against Benin in WCQ??!?!
Finidi lacked self assurance and transmitted that fear to the players. Everything was raggedy ratchety. See Eguaveon was fired up but still calm because he's in familiar territory.

Walahi we should have allowed him to continue after Afcon 22. I said it then, I still say it now. Even if Eguaveon loses, let's give him time but we too like magic.

There's something about the way his team plays. Real flowing yori yori football. Tonic to my soul.

Please what players did Rohr use to lose to CAR and lose a 4 goal lead to Sierra Leone

IjaMaester effect i saw it.

Kudos to the players for this win.

Mr "formation doesn't matter" better goan restore factory settings so he can get better job. That's a wack Mentality to wield as a legend of the game.

Is Osimhen better as a sub? He only needs probably a false 9 system ahead or a near equal striker in 1st half. I detest his wasted chances however. He kon dey laff. Ademola means business till the end. That wasn't his ball but he came in to nod it. Balon d'or player.

Boniface dey make me want to start preferring Moffi if this is how he intends to play going forward. Not impressed.

Simon and Osimhen 2nd half

Onyeka and Bashiru too

Aina needs a deputy

Bruno seems reliable.

I love how Lookman attacks space. Those 123 passes on the left needs to be replicated on the right but Chuks is too slow for my liking on this aspect.

Is Uzoho even in the equation anymore?
If Nwabali isn't Manning the goal post, Okoye will take over and Okoye has been doing excellently well since he became Udinese No. 1 towards the end of last season.
The guy might switch to a bigger club next season with the way he has started for Udinese this season.
So, Uzoho is gone and gone for good

Boni na asset, he’s no fluke o. If Boni was in Afcon we would have seen more goals from the eagles. He was a major actor in the scoreline for today though many may disagree

so when you lose a match that makes you a bad coach?
Rohr was kicked out by the demons running our football for selfish and wicked reasons leveraging on the loss as reason for his dismissal

I want to believe because of the short time Eguavoen decided to go with a system already familiar with the players, he’s not a 3 at the back coach

It's simple
Just play 4-3-3
Move Bassey to the left and bench Bruno
Or bench Bassey and bring in an extra midfielder

We would still have our width and we can control games
And maybe this match would have ended in the first half
