Technicality. I don’t think there’s a problem here, let us leave sentiments aside

....the business deal went awry when Talabi allegedly lost N650m during the business deal.

That's the problem!

Bringing my mother into this conversation shows how unrefined you are.

She shouldn't give birth in the prison, the innocent child did no wrong. She can continue her time after one month of child birth

People tend to abuse power too much, give someone who has been playing innocent, just small power and you will see his/her true colour, they have forgotten that one day, they will die and 6ft is their final destination, not even their air condition office...

We see all these power abuse here also from most of the mo.d, make unah thread with caution, nobody knows tomorrow..

BTW: OP, I saw what you did there, so you have to crop out original osun prison, knowing that is not looking good and joined it with a better prison, so as to save face from the international world...

The bail conditions are not stringent
Why can't they get a civil servant in level 14 or above and provide N5m bond

The husband is trying to avade justice on non-technicality

Don't misinterpret the situation. There are three possible explanations:

1. The person she arranged the Payment of Funds (POF) with might have absconded with the money.
2. The money might have been seized or frozen.
3. She might have stolen the money herself and fabricated a story to cover it up.

Either way, it's a serious matter and not a laughing issue. The situation is still unclear and needs further clarification

Giving birth in detention or prison honestly is not a technical reason be released immediately. If it was so, then all that needs to be done is for female inmates in prison to get their friends smuggle the male fertilizer to them into the prison and 9 months later, she is free from murder charge or anything she is in detention for. Normally, the mother and child will be separated as the baby is not allowed to be in detention with the mum.

The magistrate is right. She doesn't necessarily deserve any special treatment many many Nigerians go through the same treatment without it being reported.

The administration of criminal justice laws need to be amended to prepare for eventualities as this.
the bail condition is too biased and stringent for the offense. Secondly, the condition of a pregnant woman and health related hazards of both mother and child is enough for bail given the nature of offense.

How you bypassed the fact that the complainant is a magistrate and the corrupt presiding magistrate is doing the bidding of her colleagues is beyond belief.

The magistrates courts are the most corrupt and unprofessional within our court system

This shouldn't be news. The judge is right. She has to meet her bail conditions.

The law is no respecter of persons.
