I think I understand what you're getting at. It seems like there's an unspoken issue at play here. Either
A) Something significant has occurred, but nobody is willing to discuss it openly.

Or

B) They were attempting to obtain Canadian citizenship through investment, possibly by making a payment to the government.

Now, was talabi arrested?
...abi na only her....

And wait ..was it the bank that made the arrest...?

Or the magistrate she collected 10m from made the arrest may be due to the fact that the essence of the payment of 10m was not successfully completed since 650m is lost....

Where is talabi..?

The pregnant woman in question... she's s not the only one in this mess

And besides.
.I believe the 650m pof should be a post no debit thing.... why did the money become a withdrawable funds all of a sudden...

Did the money become withdrawable before or after the POF was completed...

If Talabi is on the run, then he is the major culprit here... he's behind the missing 650m and just used this lady as a cover since they are both in the shady deal....

One lesson is here: the person whom you are conniving with to defraud your company or organisation doesn't trust you as well.....such person if in a senior position...will one day use U as a scape goat...

Beware!!!

See magistrates/judges and their misuse of power, in the first place how did the magistrate get involved in an unlawful deal, I also think the bail condition was made that stringent because of the Magistrate's influence.
Re: Pregnant Banker Gives Birth In Prison In Osun, Sparks Outrage by Mathewrichard99: 12:02pm On Sep 08
What a pity. That's the reason it's very risky to help a Nigerian especially when they are seeking that Proof of fund (POF) to enable them to Japa to Canada or any other western countries. I guess the bankers must have over trusted those people and never bothered to block the money and also insist that the bank for the POF must be their bank that they are working. Infact, should have been the branch of the bank manager and not any other branch and importantly, the fund must be PND/ Block and a certified MOU from a lawyer or court. N650M lost to POF is wickedness by the recipient/receiver. You stole that money and Japa. Helping Nigerian is at your own risk even your immediate family. We are just very wicked and selfish just like our leaders.

Whether it is withdrawable or not, she committed a crime.

What she did is illegal and a crime.

Providing POF by manipulation is a crime and that is also a fraud case

The magistrate is right. She doesn't necessarily deserve any special treatment many many Nigerians go through the same treatment without it being reported.

The administration of criminal justice laws need to be amended to prepare for eventualities as this.

How? Perhaps to release the suspects unconditionally once they give births in detention without meeting the bail conditions?

She should try to perfect her bail condition, the judge is wicked for putting such a stringent bail condition.

It's quite unfortunate that her clients failed her.
POF is a common practice in most banks, but it seems her clients defrauded her.

It is all because everything has turned upside down in Banking.
In those days, illegality does not and cannot turn to common practice.

That was when the presence of a resident control officer can make a branch manager irrespective of the grade to Pooh Pooh inside trousers.

Money matter. If it's not your personal money, don't risk it. Be like the servant in the scripture, " Dig a hole in the ground and bury it". When the master/ owner of the money comes knocking, jejely hand it over.

Spot on. People should read the book "How much land does a man need"
SAMBARRY:
If people followed the tenets of the bible, their lives will have been easier. The bible that says GODLINESS AND CONTENTMENT IS GREAT GAIN no lie.if she had stayed on God with CONTENTMENT, she might have grown at God's pace and made more than 650 million. Now the 650 million she no see, job, gone, life gone, freedom gone while raising children by a predator in inconvenient situations and those children might become likely predators and potential criminals if God doesn't rescue those children because of the circumstances and environment they were born (through no fault of theirs)

If you are earning 50k monthly and you have CONTENTMENT, your 50k will look like you're earning million every month and you know the thing with people who lack CONTENTMENT, if you like be earning 500 million naira every week, they will still be lusting after the money of another person who is collecting 2 thousand every week.it is the very reason politicians are collecting various entitlements and contracts running into millions naira yet they will be stealing carton of milk and spaghetti and depriving the vulnerable who really need those foodstuffs for their survival.

By now you should know its a mental disorder that you are collecting N700 million plus other bonuses cars, drivers and other utilities funded by government yet you're locking garri and rice inside store during covid period

Poor Justice system but perfect laws, given birth or pregnancy not a term for bail conditions, that N650M belongs to customers.

the bail condition is too biased and stringent for the offense. Secondly, the condition of a pregnant woman and health related hazards of both mother and child is enough for bail given the nature of offense.

How you bypassed the fact that the complainant is a magistrate and the corrupt presiding magistrate is doing the bidding of her colleagues is beyond belief.

The magistrates courts are the most corrupt and unprofessional within our court system

Sadly bail conditions are solely at the discretion of the Court. We're talking about N600m plus fraud. How will that money be recovered?

Does the complaint being a magistrate make an difference ?

There's nothing corrupt about what the presiding magistrate has done and you even read where the magistrate said if they needed to, the defendant can appeal to a higher court and have the bail conditions varied.

While it may be harsh it's the law.

Trendtips:
Don't misinterpret the situation. There are three possible explanations:

1. The person she arranged the Payment of Funds (POF) with might have absconded with the money.
2. The money might have been seized or frozen.
3. She might have stolen the money herself and fabricated a story to cover it up.

Either way, it's a serious matter and not a laughing issue. The situation is still unclear and needs further clarification
The story is not complete. Money in the bank should have some digital tracks
