Well, sorry for the attack. But how can one let an infant this young in the hands of a day-care. This ain't Europe or middle East. If you have a child from 1- 5 years, do well to include him or her in your itenery. Carry your pikin to work. Man or woman, if you can't afford the luxury to take time off your hustles. |

GloriousGbola: I wasn't even trying to play Internet anything, it's the way you were going on and on about it being fake and the injury on the child's face may be makeup, that's because this news has been on other social media since morning and I've seen it, at least you would have verified before saying all that you said cos not everyone will go through your comments, that's my point. |

JovialJune: ok i do not actively follow nigeria twitter or instagram i live in lagos where the government actively oversees schools and daycare centers i have actually been at a school when they came round for inspection so reading that a 'human rights' activist was involved in what is simply an open and shut lasg case made no sense to me, especially as in the last 12 months, there have been very public chrisland and dowen incidents that have been all over social media. anyone who followed those stories would know immediately that reporting to lasg is the way to go in this matter and lasg officials even corrupt ones, will think twice because if they die the matter and it gets out they will be in big trouble. |

JovialJune: They better look for a mother figure that they can entrust their kids with.... If not, one "animal pikin" go bite and use their kids to practice cannibalism. The days are evil and most of these daycare centres and workers are evil. |

If it's an animal, then maybe a dog? |

thinkmoney: Think well well before you reply 🤔🤔🤔🤔 If you cannot get a mother figure to entrust your kids with, then take them to one of these daycare centres where they practice cannibalism and maltreat children... But don't come to Nairaland to wail and cry when it happens... |

chudez0147: What stops you from bringing your mother or mother-in-law to the city... ? If bringing your mother to the city will prevent your child from being molested and subjected to cannibalism, then you better bring her to the city. You think your mother in the village will be happy that you lost a child because you handed that child to a careless daycare worker ? 1 Like |

The daycare doesn't have a name abi? You yourself, are also helping the owner of the daycare to cover her crime.... |

Carcholce:What if a snake or scorpion bites the child where he is sitting? Were there no kidnappers back then too. Is waking up and not seeing your mother a good thing? What about fire out break, accidents or anything in the house? That's even more dangerous. This woman woke up, took care of her child, then kept her somewhere while she goes to work and come back. Could she had locked an 8 month child instead? 2 Likes |

[quote author=Pepperdemisback post=131910910] In the 3 years, the parents will be at home doing nothing and eating sand with water? So, if you have a child, you leave work for 3 years, the 4th year, you go job hunting. 2nd child, 3 years at home etc. God bless you for your comments, the only sensible ones I read are from you,I dropped my first baby at d daycare when she was 5 months old now she's 5 years. My second baby was dropped 4 months old and still there, now he's 1 year and 4 months. 1 Like 1 Share |

Scary! Get 2 nannies and cameras to monitor your house from work. I'm thousands of miles away but I'm watching and speaking to people at anytime. How did they get it this wrong! Infection is real and dangerous. |

So day care don dey for child less than a year in Nigeria? So Nigeria parent fit leave even infant to person to take care of, it doesn't make sense nau.. Anyways thorough investigation should be carried out to know what exactly happened to the kid, this is likely to expose the innocent kid to diseases if proper care is not taken. 1 Like |

There needs to be a regulatory body that guides the monitoring and approval of daycare centres. This centre ought to be shut. Other parents should withdraw their children from the place. The name of the daycare centre (which wasn't stated) should be publicised so unsuspecting parents know what it is meant for. It is not every school that should have a daycare. |

Gerrard59:You don't seem to understand that with this hyperinflation, a working class man cannot cater for the needs of the family alone. House rent, baby food, milk, electricity, car expenses, food stuff have all trippled while salary is (K). It's not even economically safe for only one partner to be working. What if he loses his job? Didn't you hear that our GDP has reduced? It means people have lost their jobs and hence no more productive. |

Gerrard59: Unbridled capitalism Don’t get me wrong I don’t think socialism or communism is the answer. But there has to be a balance to how capitalism is run otherwise there’ll be no one left to create this system of ever growing profit that’s clearly unsustainable 2 Likes 1 Share |
