I was talking to a visa agent yesterday and he said the rate at which they are refusing visa now it just wise to give canada visa a break until after their election next year .it extremely bad market ! No need waste ur time and money even student visa is harder now!
if the liberals lose elections as they are projected to. The conservatives are more brutal with immigration. Pre 2015 when they were in power many people no reason Canada because those ones no get joy.

Some of my guys paid for their visa process and it's been almost a month and they haven't called them for their biometric, is this normal?

Haven't gotten since June. Mailed and they said in the affirmative. Said they checked through my application, and everything is in order. Me sha told them I'm no longer interested.

March and April applicants are you ready?

Let the decisions (approvals amd refusals) start rolling. Visa is never a right but a privilege by the host country. So let's learn to manage our expectations. Nothing should be do or die.

Haha, but 18 Million Naira is a decent amount. But the CO concern here are home ties. You should work on that on your next application. I will advise you to prepare your own application carefully by yourself without the help of an agent. Do you have any traveling experience?

Bro, it's because you didn’t pay an agent, that's why you're talking like this. If you drop 2 million as a down payment to an agent, hoping to get a visa, then you'll understand that most of us are only expecting approval. Rejection is a huge financial and mental loss. I sold my motorbike last year, and the rejection pained me to the bone. Now, I'm still looking for a way to reapply!

Please, as you consider selling your property to reapply for the second round, don't go as far as selling your kidney or lungs just to apply for a tourist visa. I don't understand how someone could sell their property and hand the money to an agent to apply for a visa, especially when no agent can guarantee approval. They're just exploiting your desperation. Even the Bible says, Proverbs 14:15 "The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going"

OGA YOU need look well so you not scam again and again!

Why go that extent for what the decision doesnt lies on you? I feel your pains but what will you say about some of us that have families in Canada and we are unable to rejoin. Yours is just money, some of us is what money cannot quantify so its best you know that this visa thing is a privilege. In one of my previous refusals, the VO practically didnt give any reason for the refusals..so painful but what shall we do? Best advice is manage your expectation prudently and always have a backup plan.

@Jeboy it means a senior officer needs to review the file before a final decision.
Cases like this usually take time to decide from what I gathered from someone currently in the same situation.

When your GCMS notes say "Eligibility: Recommend Interview," it means a visa officer suggests you might need an interview to clarify your application. This isn't a final decision. A senior officer will review it and either schedule the interview or decide it's unnecessary and proceed with your application. Often, senior officers will make a decision without an interview based on their experience and the information available.

Hey house it’s been a long time.

My wife and I just got our work permit and open work permit today respectively. Thanks be to God. She got work permit through LMIA and we both went to the boarder to flagpole where I got my open work permit along side with her getting her closed work permit .

Our children are still in Nigeria. Any suggestions on the best and fastest means to bring them since they don’t have visiting visa at the moment.

Thank you

Yes you can request for your gcms note for an ongoing application to see the current status or notes from the visa officers.

You can apply for a visitor visa for your children as dependents. Since you and your wife now have temporary legal work status in Canada, this will strengthen their application. Be sure to submit proof of your legal status (both work permits), demonstrate your financial ability to support your children, and provide evidence of strong family ties. It’s crucial to present your proof of funds clearly, highlighting that you and your wife are currently employed and have sufficient income to support your family in Canada.

Good morning, please i would like to request my GCMS note for on ongoing visa application and I wanted to ask what website you used and also where you asked to fill out a consent form. If you were asked to fill out a consent form what details did you input for designated representative information( your details and address here in Nigeria or your agent details, that is if you used an agent, in my case I used an agent but I want to apply for the note myself ), Kindly advise as I have never applied for a GCMS before so I do not want to make any mistakes. Thanks
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Jeboy(m): 8:53am On Sep 10
Most likely your agent will have the key information like email, mobile number etc that is required for processing gcms note. Reason we advise DIY.

Yes, I understand and agree. So, since I used an agent, I cannot apply for a GCMS, not myself? I have the details used for the application as the agent already gave me access to view the application. The reason I want to request the note is because I have applied since Nov last year, so I want to know the detailed update on the application. Kindly assist with the website you used. thanks
