Miss Yemi Adenuga elected as first female black councillor in Ireland Gogglebox star Yemi Adenuga has become the first female black councillor to be elected to a county council in Ireland.
Ms Adenuga, known for her entertaining appearances on the popular Virgin Media TV show was elected this two nights ago for the Navan electoral ward after running as a Fine Gael candidate.

back in the days when this woman was a broadcaster at AIT before joining the Nigerians Ireland exodus that was going on then. Happy for her though.
