The Odua Peoples Assembly (OPA), fully supports the Department of State Services (DSS) in its lawful and necessary arrest of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Chairman, Joe Ajaero. They argue that the arrest is not only justified but crucial for safeguarding national integrity. Deputy Speaker of the Odua Peoples Assembly, Hon. Adeyemi Olamide Shola, posed a pertinent question: “Since when does arresting a lawbreaker cause anarchy and is the law not supreme?’ “We therefore declare as follows, Ajaero’s involvement in providing a hideout for a foreigner to finance violent protests as part of a plot to overthrow the democratically elected government crosses the line into treason. “His actions not only threaten Nigeria’s security but undermine the very foundations of our democracy. How can anyone expect leniency for such a serious offence? His position as NLC Chairman does not place him above the law “Much like other culprits already in detention, Ajaero must face the consequences of his actions. To suggest he should be spared implies that he is untouchable, and this is unacceptable. His arrest by the DSS is necessary, timely, and demonstrates that no one is beyond the reach of justice. Those behind this foiled foreign-backed coup attempt must all be brought to justice, no exceptions.” He urge the DSS to ignore Osifo's distractions and continue its thorough investigation, ensuring that all those involved in this heinous plot are brought to justice. Shola added, “We call on the DSS to intensify its investigations and place under surveillance all suspected accomplices to this undemocratic plot. Nigeria’s peace and democracy can not be compromised by individuals seeking to serve foreign interests and politicization of labour matters destabilize our country. “Justice must be swift, and those who dare violate the law of the land must face the full weight of the consequences. “We at Oduaa Peoples Assembly call on all Nigerian men and women of good conscience to join the patriotic battle against reasonable elements, no matter how highly-placed. We insist that national stability is bigger than any individual and that the Rule of Law must not be compromised under our nation's democratic space. “We are appalled by the misguided attempt of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) President, Mr. Festus Osifo, to obstruct the investigation of Joe Ajaero's treasonous activities. His claims that the DSS is targeting labor leaders are baseless and a desperate attempt to shield Ajaero from accountability. “The DSS investigation has nothing to do with TUC or labor matters, but rather a legitimate probe into a plot to overthrow the government. Osifo's interference is a clear indication that some labor leaders are more interested in protecting their own interests than upholding the law and national stability.” 2 Likes 1 Share |

No same Nigerian supports Tinubu and his devilish strategy to silence the NLC and it's leadership. This useless group supporting Tinubu have prove to be a part of the problem endangering the peace of this Nation. Victimization of individuals clamouring for good governance has now brought about witch-hunt, arrest and detainment yet this devilish group sees nothing wrong in supporting evil called Tinubu. Tinubu will surely end up the same way Abacha did and it's certain APC is dead in Nigeria... The anger people have for that bastard called Tinubu is unimaginable. We never voted Tinubu, he rigged his way in and must be shown the exit door either by force or by death. 2 Likes |

So it is Ajaero that obidients want to use now to distabilize Tinubu's govt? After asking for bullying Tinubu and his supporters failed, coup call failed, poisoning Tinubu's supporters failed, then they resorted to using a foreign agent. Why can't they wait till 2027 to democratically vote out Tinubu if they don't believe in him? These people are extremely desperate and anti-democratic forces. No wonder they were trying to involve Russia in the last protest by sewing Russian flags. Very strange and unheard of situation in Nigeria. Ajaero should go and clear his name if he is innocent. 1 Like 1 Share |

Orabi: To safeguard the integrity of your ancestral captivity, I would guess. It's a damn shame, what a sad mothasuckér you've grown up to become You can tell the diaper-wearing junkie, if anything happens to Ajaero he'd best kiss Aso Rock goodbye...and of course there are worse options in store for him 1 Like |
