I'm confident we will be at them in world cup qualifier , today is Rwanda lucky day
if they maintain their current form it’s very possible

Coherent play is also a big problem in the team. The players get over worked. Eguavoen should understand that football is now a team game and should ensure our zonal movements are good. Reduce dependence in individual play and set up the team to play in a more united approach.

Onyedika has shown repeatedly that his offers more to the team when it comes to movement and positioning. He is also crisp when it comes to passes and also filling gaps. How come Ndidi keeps getting the nod.

Eguavoen should really take time to align his strategy and give his assistants room to make tactical improvement to the whole philosophical approach of the team.

if Ndidi is dropped, folks will complain, I think it's a tough call for the coach now. You don't want to throw away all your experienced players

I don't care if Rwandan keeper is Manuel Neuer. We need 6points from them when we play world cup qualifiers

A sound tactical shake up of the team and we can fire cylinders.

When are we ever gonna watch a MOTM performance from SAMUEL CHUKWUEZE playing for the SE?
I really think he should be dropped from the SE for the main time. Let him go and improve at AC Milan. Defensively, attacking, that nigga adds nothing to the SE matches.

....not yet bro, a step at a time. Yes we played well hence I don't understand why some folks are bitter with the match result. We are simply unlucky.

There is no need to look for a blame, AE did well tactically.

Lol, we no need such motivation. We are the Super Eagles.

Contextually, I refer to the smaller football nations on the continent.

My brother, Benin came to pack the bus.
Just understand that first
All they needed to do was stay compact, squeeze spaces, try to stay in the game, and hit us on the counter whenever possible..
Watch how fast they moved the ball from defence to attack whenever they had it..

If we hadn't scored first, we may have been in trouble because they would have grown into the game..
The chances Boniface missed is part of the "luck" that park-bus teams depend on..
Because they didn't come out to play, we were always going to have more possession and therefore more chances created
But we were slow in that first half..

I'm speaking based on our first half performance alone

In the second half, we were always going to do better, because they had no choice but to come out and play..
Our quality was going to overwhelm them

If Benin pressed us well, we may have been in more trouble..
A better opposition coach would spot our slow transitions and ask his players to press our backline hard, causing us chaos and mistakes

And with our 2 man midfield, we would keep hoofing balls forward aimlessly...
All they need to do is crowd their defence and we may struggle.. that's if we don't fix our midfield and improve our play

I agree we did a lot of things right..
I'm only pointing out areas we need to improve in..
And I know if the coach is allowed to continue with the team, he can work on those areas..

If we didn't score in the first half, the second half might have been more difficult
But then again, if Osimhen had started, he would have pressed their defenders more, and we would have had a different game..

All we needed was the 3 points Sha
We got that
Onto the next
I'd like to see how we setup and play against Rwanda

This...

Give him time in an important match like this? This foolish decision by AE is what just cost us three points. The other is benchinng Iwobi all game.

When you're looking for goals your most creative midfielder should be on the pitch and that is Iwobi.

This is a very physical game …I won’t play iwobi eida but I would av introduced onyeka for ndidi earlier and leave dele bashiru till around 75min b4 bringing in onyedika

The reason why Eguavoen is scared to drop Ndidi is because his approach is still based on individual plays and long ball.

If we are playing more with team plays, he would pick players that offer better positional movements and with better passing abilities.

Those long balls mean possible pressure and he needs Ndidi as a work horse to help break plays.

He also had Ndidi operating too deep in the defence to have a midfield impact on a sound level.

more team play is what we need, that chance Simon missed should have been squared to Osi, he did square one later to Osi but the keeper was there though I felt Osi didn't hit that enough.

That Rwandan GK (what's his name?) He needs to be knighted by Paul Kagame and giving the option of any beautiful woman in Kigali if he has none...what a rock he was!

Omo we wasted too many chances, solid performance.. you can definitely see what Eguaveon is doing tactically, NFF should keep Eguaveon and support him with everything he will need. We have another round of AFCON qualifiers coming next month, just a perfect litmus test for Eguaveon to further tune up his team.

if the same iwobi played na dem go still single am out as the worst player on the pitch today

I saw nothing wrong with the midfielders paraded today. The team was just unlucky, every each of them gave their all but sometimes things doesn’t turn out the way we hoped

Calm down bro, ball ain't toy. Toying around with balls means nothing. How many attempt on targets they got?! Tactically we were superior, the game plan was ok.
exactly what i wanted to counter with…Nwabali was more on holiday today than against Benin….those guys will jus reach our half and play nonsense….we were so unlucky not to have scored…with the way we played them, their return leg in Nigeria both WCQ and AfconQ will send some shivers to them
East/Central African nations are stubborn with draw
Uganda
Rwanda
Burundi
Tanzania
its not easy beating them in their home ground…you cam only outplay them but so so hard to score them plus they usually produce great shot stoppers
Aishi Manula(Tanzania)
Denis Onyango (Uganda)
Robert Kidiaba (DRC)
and now Ntwari(Rwanda)
