Yes you can. I believe the start date of the new visa will be after the expiry date of your current visa. To the best of my knowledge, there is no provision for "overlapping visas"

I just booked my appointment yesterday and I was able to find a free time on the day I wanted and for self service too, although when I checked last week, the date I wanted did not have any free slots. So, I think you can just keep checking over and over and free dates and time slots will come up. That's what I did though. Hope this helps.

No, you don't need a transit visa if your only layover is Egypt. And no, you don't need a yellow card.

What to Know

In case this is your first international flight, note the following:

1. Print and arrange all relevant documents
2. Identify your terminal before travel date
3. Check-in and select your seat online (airline website or app)
4. Pack your 2 × 23kg and 10kg bags
5. Arrive at the airport 3-4 hours before your flight
6. Scan your bags at the terminal gate/entrance
7. You may be asked to pay 3-4k by the Agriculture guys if you carry a lot of food
8. Weigh your bags at the weighing stand
9. Go to your airline counter to complete check-in formalities and get your boarding passes
10. WRAP YOUR BAGS O
11. Proceed to Customs and Immigration
12. Go through the final security checks (wear comfy outfit/shoes because you will be asked to remove and tender everything except your clothes)
13. NDLEA may stop and check/question you, so prepare your mind
14. Proceed to your boarding gate and wait for boarding announcement

Note: The new terminal at MMIA is the terminal 2 while the old one is the terminal 1. Looks like Egypt Air departs from the T1, please confirm on your ticket. This information is for Lagos only.

You don't need transit visa. If you're arriving in the evening and your second flight is the next day, they're supposed to provide hotel accomodation for you.

You need Yellow card.

Secondly, I feel I can wait at the airport no need for hotel.
I was advised so, to avoid problem with border control.

Note: this is the 4th time I was refused visa to the uk and I was sponsored by my father who do business in the UK in the last 35 years and surprisingly they refused his visa as well as his 10 year visa expired this January and we applied as a family

Compare prices for different airlines on sites like wakanow.

Avoid airlines that connect through EU nations like France, Netherlands etc as that will require you to get a transit visa.

I am to travel with a group from work for a trainng by the end of this month. Did biometrics on 26th Aug. Two of the people have gotten the visa (they have previous travel history). One of which we did biometrics same day. I got the below email yesterday, what do you guys think?
