the last time I was in Cotonou and Lome, I saw lots and lots of Nigerians doing all sorts of jobs, initially I was angry but also puzzled It wasn't until when I wanted to change my naira to cfa that i saw the huge wisdom in their actions. before the CFA was like 1000 naira to 1500 CFA, but now the exchange rate is 400cfa TO 1000 NAIRA AND MOST LIKELY IT HAS EVEN GONE LOWER. what this means is that you need 2500 naira to buy 1000cfa, so if one works in these places and gets 2000cfa , changing it to naira is like 5000 naira . No wonder even Nigerian farmers now prefer to sell their foodstuff to other places and collect cfa rather than sell internally and collect naira https://punchng.com/traders-in-massive-food-diversion-to-niger-republic-cameroon-others/ |

7demons: In my location,we used to have quite a lot of hausa speaking Nigeriens 🇳🇪 who do menial works like offloading goods, cobblers, security men, lately their population has reduced noticeably, some have relocated to their close neighbouring country like Libya, while others stay put in their home country. Working in Nigeria is no longer economically favourable for them hence they relocate. |

jmoore:Peter Obi has already been taught a bitter lesson he would never forget in his life. He lost the election woefully, coming distant third despite his propaganda team, religious and tribal bigotry. He leanrt he can never rule Nigeria again in his life. What lesson again is more than that? |

madridguy:You have to shamefully Express your remorsefulness and apologies first before expressing disatisfaction. Cos your vote/support contributed to his emergence as president. You guys overated this man in all ramifications. You need to use your own hands to give yourself multiple slaps and knucks. When you have done all that, them you can come here to start expressing disatisfactions. 1 Like 1 Share |

CyrusVI: You better wake up and face reality,Nigerians are now migrating to those Francophone countries because of their strong Cefa. One thousand naira now is 350 cefa and you dare not offer naira to either Okada rider or olosho in Benin ecept you want to disgrace yourself. Moreover, they have constant electricity supply, good roads, very peaceful and well organied unlike Nigeria. Naira is now as useless as tissue paper. 1 Like |

CyrusVI:you are SICK, very sick! Both you and that Northerners have destroyed this country with your cluelessness. Nigeria has gone to the dogs. Most Benin republic citizens that work for me here, have relocated back to Benin. The other day, traders from Ivory coast were comfortably offering to buy goods at a price higher than we offered at Alaba international market. All because your lazy Thieving brothers are in power |
