Comedian Anita Afoke Asuoha, better known by her stage as Warri Pikin, has disclosed how she nearly killed herself after listening to a motivational speaker.

In honor of World Suicide Prevention Day, she disclosed on her Instagram page that her spouse became indebted in 2018 after being persuaded by a motivational speaker to undertake several business endeavors in an attempt to achieve financial success, leaving them in a hollow N22 million debt. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

According to her:

“I attempted suicide so you don’t have to. Specifically, on June 6, at 3 p.m., in 2018, I tried to end my life because the weight was too much to bear.

“Life has struck me in the left, right, and center, and it has flipped me around like a barber chair.”

Sharing photos of them she wrote:

“Area! Meet Irene C. Anaenye, the woman God used to save my life on June 6, 2018, at Garki Hospital.”

She further encouraged people battling suicidal thoughts to seek help, reminding them that, “Suicide is making a permanent decision to a temporary problem.”

Suicidal ideation is a dark process, we should seek help when we find ourselves in that zone.

Motivational speaker's are season 2 of our fake Prophet's and charlatans men of God we have now.
When going to Church or attend their program do not leave your brain at home.
Many of them do not even try what they teach.
Like one of our Prophet selling Miracle soap, I can assure you that he does not use that soap.
Am happy for your recovery.

Words are easier said than done.
Motivational speakers fail to practicalise what they preach, though, what works for A might likely not work for B.
Wisdom is essential in whatever we want to do, coupled with God's guidance and blessings.

Suicide is one of the strongest, bravest and Hardest decision anyone could make. Sometimes I dont have to save the victims of suicide. You just allow it end it afterall we are all going to end one day so what's the diff?

If u are to save one from committing suicide, make sure u can solve the root of the problem that made he or she chose the suicide route if not then there is no reason to stop them.

Motivational speakers have pushed so many people to their early deaths.
What they do is very easy; they first overbloat our capabilities and then remap our sense of worth.
And they come in many forms; as peers, movies or even folklore.

A man who knows nothing about Forex is made to believe that if he stays awake through the night looking at a screen showing position indices that he will never understand in a billion years, that he can make Elon Musk become his servant in four months.

A man who knows it takes him three minutes to catch his breath after climbing a flight of stairs, will watch a porn where KrissyJoe shags Ladygold for over 30minutes and want to do the same.

I am grateful to God that all the preachings in the world never moves NwaAmaikpe; I am comfortable at my pace and will never wish to outdo myself even for myself, let alone for anyone else.

Why will anyone let themselves be pushed to assume a capability they don't have.
Why will anyone only aim to please others?

The other day, someone complained about being a one-minute man and I couldn't have been more gobsmacked.

Only a masochist will wish to last for 15minutes during sex when it takes him only 52-seconds to enjoy the pure bliss of cum; then still feel guilty because a lady refused to cum when he was cumin.

That's taking blame for someone else's wickedness and this is why more men are dying nowadays during sex; because they want to impress.

If only they know that that motivational speaker is yet to meet his own needs; if only they know that most porn actors can not even sustain an erection without drugs;
If only they know that after the stomach which only gets pleased momentarily, the kpekus is the most ungrateful part of the human body.

If only they know that this life is a personal race, they will understand the peace in contentment.

Listen to them at your peril. People should understand that there is something called grace and there is something called time and seasons. When it's not your time it's not your time. All one needs to do is to be consistent and persistent.

More reasons why I do everything within my power to avoid coming in contact with any sort of motivational speakers, cuz their speech alone can ginger you into doing what you may have not ever thought of or intended of doing.

Suicide is what no human should consider at all, it's cowardice act.
Why not run away to where no one knows you and start again if you think your best bet is suicide.

And for motivational speakers, just imagine someone alighted from an okada on a no traffic road and his coming to give you lecture on how to make 10 million in 10 months grin
Beta use ya head.

How do people even get affected by these motivational speakers and what they preach. For me, if I listened to them a million times I'll never be moved, not to talk of contemplating suicide. NEVER!

Easier to say than thou! I normally pity people around switch talkers, they wolud say all sorts of sweet things, since they know human ears usually gravitating towards good things to hear, they would never tell you the disadvantages and how it might not work, before you know, you would crumble with the idea and trust Naija people. You are Own ur Own if things go south.

Every decision you want to embark on,which you think it would work perfectly, thr are at least 5 impediments on the ground ready to make it fail, so, in other to succeed with your plan, you must take cognisance of such obstacles before you start your journey from scratch.

Both the title and write-up get no meaning. Does motivational speeches encourage someone to commit suicide?
The woman credited to have saved you in your story, is she the motivational speaker or who?
How can someone be motivated to go and kill him/herself? Straighten your story abeg. undecided

Thank you sir,let it be known to you that death is not the end of everything. There's more after death. Life is a continuum. Remember the rich man and Lazarus? If after you or some one committed suicide and suddenly finds himself in the pit of hell who would she or he blame? Bro Hell is REAL.
