The team lost their first game to Egypt 62-70, beat Zimbabwe 107-30, and lost to Uganda 64-80, thereby finishing 3rd in their group.

So, the junior D’Tigresses qualified as one of the best third-placed finishers across the 3 groups

Haven't really followed the competition since it began but watched the last quarter. Let's just say they have a lot of work to do.

The movement is sloppy, spacing terrible and ball handling atrocious. Maybe good enough for Africa but definitely not for the world's stage. They need to clean that up

For sure, all through the tournament spacing and ball handling have been, average, at best. I think it got worse in that 4th quarter due to nerves and fatigue.

Nonetheless, I wouldn’t be surprised if Wakama is drafted to oversee the team’s coaching crew in the build-up to and at the World Cup, to help correct those deficiencies

Wakama is good, but there's nothing special that she's doing, because D'Tigress are all professionals in the US........they they're beyond the basics in the game, they're ready made and well groomed in Basketball

We don't have players that play in the US right now.

You don't even know what you're talking about. I'm no fan of Wakama and think she has a lot to work on, but it will be delusional to think what she did with the team wasn't special. I could break it down for you but just a bit of research will show you none of our players play in the US, most had average college careers, and all play in average teams across Europe.

Otis is American and has more experience coaching national teams than Rena Wakama. What has Otis achieved at the Olympics compared to Rena's achievement in Paris this year? Rena is a great Coach and she is going to greater heights if she continues like this. I am not putting Otis down though. He achieved a lot for Nigeria too. Cheers.

And Otis had a far better roster than Wakama had. Like you said, not putting Otis down but to eater down that she achieved with that group is simply being disingenuous.

Took too damn long. If the Chicago front office weren't dummies, they would have signed her long time ago cause they literally need a PG like her. Hoping she gets some time on the floor and make the most of it.

... absolutely,it took too long, I have a feeling Chicago is deliberately tanking, word out there is that they can get Paige (UConn guard) cant remember her last name...there are some potential exciting Wnba rookies this year too. Maybe that's why they are deliberately tanking, also since they were hitted with lots of injuries, they just called it a wrap, hoping to get value in the draft class. Potential rookies(Page UConn,Flaujae :LSU, PaoPao South Carolina, Raven Johnson South Carolina ,don't know if Juju watkins would go into the draft...All in all,I am happy for Ezinne...so I have a new team in the W.. grin grin grin
