Putin007:
Did you request for GCMS note ?
Yes, it was still the multiple lump sum that was mentioned
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Daaaz0409: 5:25pm On Sep 12
JMG12:
If the funds has been in your sponsor's account for 4 months, you should still use the same sales of property to explain the lump and attach other documents to proof the finance of your sponsor.
Oh, that means I don’t have to wait for 6 months?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by JMG12: 5:28pm On Sep 12
4 months SOA is what is required however you can wait till 6 months before you apply again. Is it a new account?

You can reapply for a study permit or travel with this visa the first week of June 2025 – before it expires. Ensure your passport is valid for the program’s duration to receive a study permit that is valid for your program’s duration.

Thank you for your response, I just got my passport back now, and it’s only valid for 9 months, the visa would have expired before the start of the program , that is September next year... I’m really starting to get worried now

My visa was approved on the 5th of September,2024. and the expiry date is 30th of July,2025. And school has deferred my admission to September 2, 2025. I have send a webform to ircc to notify them of the deferral and I attached my new letter of acceptance, please what can I do next?

Thank you for your response, let’s say I reapply and God forbid I get denied, will this current visa still be valid to travel?

Good evening sir. Google Pay4Me. It's an app that helps international student pay for their fees and application fee in Naira. Also check out, Tuition by Flutterwave (I don't know if they are still operating, but check them out). If you don't trust these platforms, convert your naira to USD with a bureau de change and send to your Dom account. Open a form A application to process the money from your Dom account (I have a UBA Dom account and this is how they do theirs. I don't know about other banks).

@MarksmanD:

Please kindly advise me how I can pay my tution fees balance from Naira to CAD.

Thanks in anticipation of your quick response.

First, send them a web form and email explaining the situation. Use ‘Urgent’ in the first line or subject line. Do not forget to provide the application details like UCI, application number, last name, given names, date of birth, and date of submission, and attach a copy of the counterfoil and letter of intro.

They can ask you to resubmit your passport and re-issue an updated study visa. However, IRCC will likely approve it if they ask you to reapply, provided your conditions remain the same, and you provide the rationale for requesting a new study visa. Attach a copy of their reply to your application.

No, it’s my dads normal account. I should still put the same property sales docs right. Thank you very much

Why don't you transfer the money to your account or do GIC?

Hello everyone. Please i need details about canadian study visa. In recently applied to newfoundland memorial and labrador university but awaiting admission for winter semester. I want to enquire about the tuition fee payment. It was stated that their tuition fee is paid per semester but someone told me that I might be required to pay for a full year before I'm granted a visa

Also, my dad is my sponsor. I want to know how to draft a sponsorship letter and additional details for a successful visa grant. Any contributions will be highly appreciated

Boss which courses did you apply at memorial i have been searching and i did not see any winter intake course on their page

I don’t mind buying a GIC if it will guarantee that I’ll not have pof issue with my Visa. What are the steps to do it please.
And is it a better option as compared to just leaving the money in the account for 6 months

GIC isn't a guarantee. I have read some people who did it and didn't get it. But it's far more better as POF because it shows that you have access to the money. Google CIBC GIC and you'll see a link to the site. Also search for GIC on YouTube, some Indians have done a video on the process. You can only pay for it once and they don't accept naira. You must use a Dom account to send the money. It's very important to ensure that your name on your Dom account must match and be arranged exactly the same way you opened your GIC account. You can't send the money from any account except your own Dom account. When I did mine, I used UBA bank and within 2 days they received the money.

Good morning house, I was recently given an admission to Red River college for the winter session (Jan 2025) and was asked to pay a non-refundable deposit payment but I would like to defer the admission to the fall session (September 2025) because of my current financial situation. Has anyone been in such situation or has an idea about this and how to go about it ? Your response would be very much appreciated

Thank you in advance

My NL family, I greet you all.

I finally got my GCMS notes, and the reason given seems crazy as I have a fully funded scholarship.

I appeal to you all to look into the matter for me. Your suggestions is highly needed for a successful study permit.

Note: I didn't include my company SOA, because it was moniepoint MFB and I stopped using it since last year, technically i only have last year bank statements.

I need guidance, so I can reapply asap.

Thank you all for your attention to this matter.

Boss, are you certain you got a full scholarship? The other day, you claimed you don't know what the details of the scholarship entails but you're certain it covers tuition and expenses. For IRCC to break this point down to you, it means that you'll cover the tuition and part of the living expenses till you start collecting your stipend from the program. Write to your school and confirm again and send them the GCMS notes to get their thoughts.

URGENT

Hello guys,

Please i urgently need an accommodation in London, Ontario. I just came from Lagos two days ago for the first time on study permit and my airbnb will expire this morning. My fear now is that i have no where to put my two traveling bags. Fanshawe student here. I have only $400 left and i plan to use it for joint rent and i'm still looking for a room to share. Please if you're a Nigerian around London, Ontario kindly help out. You can contact me using the nairaland mail, or email emayesarahadedayo@gmail.com. God bless you.

You'd better start calling for funds and not even think about getting a job in that part of Canada to pay your school fees or rent. My friend's wife is in college in London and has been unable to find a job for over 10 months now. The husband has been selling properties in Nigeria to support her, and she complains that many students are in a similar situation!

Hello House,
I have been restless for days now.

I submitted the application for study visa since August 8 by using a new GCkey account but I have not heard anything from IRCC.

Kindly help me look at my application timeline, Can someone tell me when am I going to receive decision and what is likely to happen to my application?

Thanks
