Anyone found a solution to the duplicate application problem? |

Fellow colleagues on this journey, please I would to know if anyone has been able to get a date in Lagos recently on the new booking website. I don't want a story that touches. After choosing Lagos, getting a date before December becomes difficult 1 Like |
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by yoyome20: 8:04pm On Sep 14 |
FVA89: hello, the earliest date I am seeing now in Lagos as of today is July 2025, I got Oct 2025 and was able to reschedule to April 2025 some days back, and hoping I get to see an earlier date soon. 1 Like |

OlawumiCecilia: 🤠 1. Yes. Embassy will provide interpreter in one of our major national languages , but if Mama's language does not have an interpreter (on that particular day of interview), then, the embassy will ask her to bring her personal interpreter (possibly re-application or 221g scenario). PS: I am certain of Igbo, Hausa, and Yoruba interpreters at the USA embassy. 🙏 |

FVA89: I do not know how to do this, maybe someone in the house will help answer on how to book a group appointment on the new web site and i think some had mentioned that if you have genuine reasons for wanting a sooner date you can also request for that and if granted you will be given a sooner date in Lagos so you can make your graduation in December. |

It's my first time ever applying for a visa. I rescheduled my US visa appointment from Abuja to Lagos on the AVITS website. Hope this won't be a problem. Please someone experienced should respond. |
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Slymod: 8:56am On Sep 15 |
IamMomoh: The new AVITS website is messy. I cancelled an appointment (for someone) that has visa payment verification issue (another pending issue). I tried restarting the application and got the nasty 'duplicate application' error. The thing is every passport number serves as a new applicant that can't be currently deleted by the user. A way for now is to create a support ticket requesting customer support to delete it. Your support ticket will hanging there without response except you call their customer support. 2 Likes |

Hello. I submitted on the 18th of July at the DHL office in Surulere Lagos. Apologies for the late response. Any update on yours? phoyeks: |

Hi, You need to keep checking and might take a while (7weeks in my case) for the status to change. Be patient and pray whilst at it. Hope this helps. Bsihdjn: |

I’m a new applicant. I was only able to pay for myself and still waiting for the payment to be validated. My kids are minors and I’m confused if it’s okay to start a separate application for them or ensure I add them to mine. Please your input will be appreciated 🙏🏾 |

Slymod: Can you please share their customer support number? I have not been able to locate it. Thank you |
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by Slymod: 2:54pm On Sep 15 |
laprem90: It's a voip stuff. Choose click to talk instead of click to chat and input 113 after each voice prompt. I asked a simple question of whether it's ok that I rescheduled my appointment from Abuja to Lagos and no body is answering. I'm sure you have an answer for me since I've answered yours. |

Who knows if OIS is opening or closing tomorrow September 16th since the government declared it a public holiday? 1 Like |
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by IamMomoh: 7:30pm On Sep 15 |
FVA89: It’s extremely hard but not impossible. If the home ties wasn’t strong enough for F2, I don’t think it will be enough for B. They might just meet a VO who is kind enough to show them favor hence I’m not saying you shouldn’t give it a try. Aren’t you applying for OPT and getting a job? You could use the job to try the F2 again when you’re on OPT. |
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by beautyuche: 8:46pm On Sep 15 |
Hi, I was at the DHL office in trans Amadi last week and they no longer received passport. If you don’t have an immediate travel plan you can wait on OIS services to get your passport to you. However, if you need your passport back Your best bet is to send someone to OIS office in Abuja with a letter of authorization and then have them send your passport to you by DHL. Now this will cost you money. Total cost I paid was 48k to OIS and 15k to DHL. I hope you are clear with this. ifyx12: 1 Like |

Please how can someone apply for a family appointment for in the new website created for USA visa application |
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by FVA89: 9:11pm On Sep 15 |
IamMomoh: Between trying again for f2 during opt and trying with a B visa which one do you think will raise an eye brown base on previous denial. Won't they say why am I doing opt when I promised to come back after graduation? |
Re: Usa Visit Visa Part 5 by OyoTunjiUSA(m): 9:54pm On Sep 15 |

Hey 🤠 Here is the embassy guidelines: 1. To schedule an appointment for you and your family members, please sign up first on usvisaappt.com. 2. Once the account was created, on ''My Dashboard'', click on ''Create New'' button in order to start the scheduling process; you will need to choose the application country, the service type, the visa category and visa class. 3. Before paying the visa fee, you will have the option to add the family members applying together with you, and to provide the personal details for each applicant. The visa fees will be calculated based on the information you provide, and you will be able to schedule appointments for each family member. ****. Please note however that some U.S. Embassies or Consulates may request the visa applicants to schedule individual appointments; in this case the option to add the family members will not appear during the process, and you will need to schedule each person separately. You will not need however to create separate accounts for each person, but use the same account as for your application. +234 2013438900 or email : nigeria@usvisaappt.com Best Wishes 🙏 2 Likes |

I have just switched to the new usvisaappt and I have '3 reschedules available' on my us visa appointment date. While trying to reschedule my appointment, the date picked is showing "slot is already used." However, I have exceeded the three time appointment change limit from the former portal before switching to the new one. What is the solution to be able to reschedule on the new portal. Thank you. |
