Please I want to understand some things. I need your help sir.
1. After authentication and verification at ministry of health and foreign affairs, do I do the legalisation separately at the embassy on a different date, or it is done at the point of submission on the interview date?
2. About proof of funds, I am using a sponsor, and I have $5000 in my account. Do you think the said amount would pass for my application? i know I've asked this before.

BOS8:

You will go to the embassy they will give you account number and the amount you re to pay, you will now go to the bank to pay and bring back the teller for them, if is it for verification it will be zenith bank, the embassy will you give u the teller and if is for legalization you will pay to Ecobank

Let me explain how it works, you don't need to buy any appointment, you can definitely book it urself online and secondly your name is not on the book appointment the embassy won't answer you because the name in the appointment will crosscheck with documents u want to submit and lastly you submit your marriage certificate for verification first after which it will be assigned to a lawyer to verification after the lawyer verification the embassy will now call you for legalization.... ,that's how it works

Misty25:
Hello all ,

I am new here and I have been reading through the thread but I do have a question that is confusing to me .

I just got my admission, I have already Authenticated my document from MOE and MOFA but the only issue I have is I am unable to get an appointment at the Portugal embassy for my legalization the earliest appointment is November 28 and I have my visa appointment with VFS on 17th of September

I would like to confirm if I can go ahead to submit my visa application and pay for the legalization on the day of my visa appointment

Please note this is for Masters application

I hope someone responds

Thank you

I'll advise you apply for PGD with your HND cert. First thing to do is to get your certificates both ND and HND from your school alongside your academic transcripts. After that, you ask your school to write to the ministry of education to confirm your certificate is genuine because without this, they won't authenticate for you. Also, have it at the back of your mind that you're spending about 500k plus at the embassy for certificate verification and legalization.
Can one move with family with this PGD?

Thank you

If is Portugal then you can move with family but is best advisable the applicant to go first after like 3-6months you can apply for reunification visa for them

Like how much? Plus can OND apply?
Re: Anyone Studying In Portugal!!!! by Raregem9000(m): 9:16am On Sep 18
Main applicant = 820 euros (minimum living wage) * 12

Each adult dependent ( spouse for example): 50 percent of the main applicant
Each minor (kids) : 30 percent of the main applicant.

Main applicant= 9,480
Spouse = 50 % of 9480
Minor = 30% of 9480

Add together, that's your minimum pof for family of 3, you multiply your answer in euros by cbn rate

To move your family over, I won’t advise any student to bank on less than one year, even one year would be an extreme luck.
