⚡The U.S. has officially completed its military withdrawal from Niger as of yesterday.

This marks the end of a military presence that had been established over the past decade.

U.S. is now exploring potential new partnerships with other West African nations such as Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire.
Must there necessarily be a military presence?

Russia better not rely on these guys compared to Iran that is far more bold and visually helps than them.
One party is blackmailing you of fuelling a war secretly while they are boldly fanning the war publicly and you are here chickening out like a kid..... Mtchewww

Russian Emperor Alexander III in the 19th century once said and I quote, “Russia has only two allies: the army and the navy.”
This statement, though seemingly simplistic, encapsulates a profound geopolitical truth that resonates through the annals of Russian history.
Russia is not only one of the most enduring ancient powers, but arguably the only one that has successfully preserved both its economic and military might into the modern era. Historically, Russia has rarely relied on alliances to secure its interests. In war, it has often fought alone and reaped the rewards of victory independently.

When considering China and other purported Russian allies, many are quick to form conclusions based solely on western media portrayals, which are often incomplete or skewed. Make no mistake, Russia possesses the capability to dismantle Ukraine militarily and when I mean dismantle, I mean completely obliterate Ukraine conventionally without any external assistance from allies.

However, such an act would undoubtedly subject it to widespread global condemnation. By prolonging the conflict at its current pace, Russia has positioned itself advantageously not only by capitalizing on record-breaking oil and gas sales but by seizing a significant portion of Ukraine's economic partners and also expanding the over $2trln of untaped natural resources that the Russian army is currently sitting on in the donbas region of Ukraine (which will be the largest spoils of war in modern history) in the very eyes of a notorious gang of 32 criminals calling themselves NATO, who are quick to invade small nations but shivers with the mention of Russia. In doing so, Russia has achieved a level of global prominence and respect unseen since the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

As for China, it remains heavily economically entwined with the West, with the United States being its largest trading partner and over 40% of its market dependent on Western nations and their allies.
Were you in Xi's shoes, would you risk this position knowing full well that India stands ready to fill any void simply to offer public and unequivocal support to Russia in the Ukrainian conflict?
Now, regarding the contributions of Russia's allies to its war effort, several points deserve attention:

•North Korea stands as one of Russia's most overt supporters in the Ukraine war. Its contributions include the delivery of artillery shells and missiles under purchase agreements and a technology-sharing treaty.

•Iran, though it has not publicly aligned with Russia, has transferred drone manufacturing expertise to Moscow and has supplied drones under purchase agreements. There are also reports of missile deliveries, though these remain unverified.

•India has arguably become the key player fueling Russia's war machine. If Ukraine were strategic, it would turn its diplomatic efforts toward India, as India holds significant sway over the continuation or cessation of the conflict.

• China, which initially played a crucial role in sustaining Russia during the early phases of Western sanctions, has since been eclipsed by India. Currently, China's contributions are more subdued, consisting primarily of the delivery of low cost drones equipments and semiconductors used for missile production, also through purchase agreements. While China continues to purchase Russian oil and gas, the recently signed agreement for the delivery of oil via pipelines has yet to reach full operational capacity. Once it does, Russia stands to profit even more significantly from this war, as Russia will ramp up delivery of oil to china and other needed resources via rail.

In this context, it is visible to the blind why Putin sees little reason to hasten the conclusion of the conflict. Much can still be gained from the status quo, both economically and geopolitically.

Very nice stimulating teaser bro.. been awhile someone provoke the kind of intelligent discourse you've raised above. My take on this is that, like a chess game, there's always a cost for every expensive moves, when decisions are not carefully thought out., there's almost certainly a fallout reaction/repercussions. however the side with skills will always win. And in this case we all know if the decisions to strike deeper by the ukros are made, the immediate fallout may be gravier for those involved depending on the available moves left in the other camp on play. But one thing is certain, if that should happen, we may be seeing a move from the smo to a full blown war and the world offcourse would've started it's journey into a new phase which the next generation would only read about in history books.. happy sun all.

Exactly, and this is a future I don't want to happen.

Just in case someone is wondering why Russia is buying weapons from Iran and North Korea, the answer is simple.

Russia is hiding it's true strength and capabilities. If your enemies knows all the weapons in your arsenal, then they can plan and counter it easily.

Just like how Russia recovered thousands of weapons from tanks to ammunition given to Ukraine, these weapons would be dismembered and studied, to understand the capabilities of nato.

So the trick is to never allow the enemy ro know your strength, or guess it through captured weapons. Russia has deadlier weapons the world does not know about.

There are lots of cities in Russia bigger than Lagos, that does not appear on the map. These are military research centers and bases that are homes to generation of weapons that the world never know about.

I believe Putin knows that he must respond decisively by attacking NATO allies if Ukraine fire those missiles deep into Russia. Putin already said they will respond if Ukraine fire those western supplied missiles.

I saw BRICS news on Twitter where China also said they will support Russia if the war escalates, so we are potentially looking at WW3.

My thinking is that Putin will likely retaliate against NATO using nuclear weapons, because using conventional missiles may not be as effective to produce the needed impact.

The whole world will be badly affected if all the parties do not begin to de-escalate now.

The way I see China entering the war is if the war transitions into a Nato versus Russia thingy. It's will be a golden opportunity for China to reunify Taiwan, when Nato hands are tied with Russia.

Then if the US wants to fight and cause trouble for China, then it would be the eastern Bloc versus the Western bloc. Russia and China will go all in and face their common enemy.

This is the reality the West do not want, but it's the ultimate end goal if they enter a war directly with Russia. China would want to support Russia, but needs a legitimate reason to do so.

Although China sells the image of a moral, benevolent power, they know how to play the geopolitical card. They know that Russia must not fall, and they must support Russia.

Exactly.

The focus is always on the western part of Russia down to the Ural mountains divide. Russia has over 800 air bases in those areas alone.

No one knows what goes on the vast lands in the far eastern parts or even Franz Josef Island, Novyla Zemlya. Those are military research facilities strictly restricted from public access.

You'll never find any information about those places on the map or the internet.

Romania, Hungary, and Poland are just there to bleed the EU dry. The case of Romania is even more telling considering how poor they are when compared to other EU members. Well, it's good for Germany. France, etc, who are paying through their noses to keep them there.

Many romanians also have poor hygiene. You don't wish to have some romanians as your neighbours. Just two romanian families in my neighborhood and they bleeped up the entire place. Once you have them in your neighborhood, more romanians will come and roam near your house, expect your place to be robbed once or twice every 3 months.

Funny people
Ballistic missiles are not purely hypersonic because they only achieve that hypersonic speed range at certain stage in flight. Plus, they lack the glide and maneuverability of real hypersonic missiles.

Much of the Romanian population lives within the poverty line, so I'm not surprised that they have poor hygiene.

Truth be told, some countries in Europe are only 'better' off just because they're in Europe. But in reality, some are just like African countries.
