Wao

They should put speed breakers on that bridge!!!

People speed as if they are drunk and mad at the same time on that bridge

One day, something happened to a vehicle I was in and it had to park for sometime on that bridge. All the cars passing were speeding as if the devil was pursuing them!!!

Always call your drivers to order anytime you see him driving recklessly. Life has no duplicate. That was how one man who drove us from nassarawa to uyo was trying to overtake every vehicle on sight, even if na 2 tankers at the same time. I shouted on him to be careful, to my greatest surprise, two women at the back told me that I'm behaving like a woman, I should leave the driver alone, he knows what he's doing.
I always tell that kind of useless women like that if they want to dead they should dead alone or when I get down the driver can do anyhow he want

Anybody that can maintain 80Km/h on that bridge is a very disciplined person.
I hardly go above 100 on a normal day. The situation was different when I found myself on that bridge recently. If not my alarm that started bipping, I didn't even know I was doing close to 100km/h.
I quickly called myself to order o!

I drove past this scene yesterday with the attendant traffic caused by the accident. May the dead RIP.

Most Nigerian drivers drive too recklessly. Too much closeness to other vehicles / road users and excessive speeding.

Like I always say, if you drive this way, an accident is only a matter of time. Let's take caution.

There's one wicked spirit that follows drivers of these white and blue buses.

One time I was returning from school with a friend in a similar bus with other passengers and an indifferent driver. This man would overtake vehicles severally, not caring for any oncoming one.

Then he attempted one with an oncoming tanker.....

That was my first time in my life I openly insulted an old man and my friend joined me. We cursed at this man but to my surprise, only a few people murmured to him to slow down. And worse, the man didn't give a care in the world.

Since then, I'll need to be heavily convinced to board that kind of bus.

I complained about this modified Mazda buses here 3 weeks again, I don't know why the Lagos State Government has refused to investigate the reason behind frequent killing and accidents by these Mazdas commonly used between Oshodi and Ajah and Iyana Ipaja,

Here is my observations

1. The mechanism of these modified buses doesn't work anymore because they have been lifted up from the back to maximise it's capabilities and speed, the drivers believe it will be pushing itself forward that way and move fast, but the same reason is why the brakes doesn't work on top speed, the weight when loaded with pull passengers usually push the bus forward no matter how you brake making the driver lose control of the bus, because they added additional 4 seats in the truck space, increasing the number of the passengers and loads without increasing the brake capacity, one of these type of Mazdas lost control 3 weeks ago coming down from Obalende bridge into the park, he hit a man who I doubt will survive and jammed another vehicle, driver and conduct immediately left the bus and ran away, government should simply discontinue the use of these buses on high way if they don't want to ban them

Say no to drugs.
The bitter truth is that many commercial bus drivers takes monkey tail and engage in the use of substance.

Rest in Peace to the dead.
Wishing the injured one's, quick recovery.

That's one reason I don't engage drivers in discussions during long travels to have a boosted morale to correct them when the nut in their head is going off.

God bless you. You see, I wonder why we don't have good regulators and regulation in this country.

These vehicles are modified to carry more passengers with no brake upgrade and some of them even use water and all sort of nonsense as brake fluid, yet they overspeed. Some use plastic kegs as fuel tank.

They also jam-pack these people in the vehicle and when an accident eventually occurs, there's no room for the chassis of the vehicle to absorb the decelerating forces without crushing some occupants of the vehicle which are likely not even using a seat belt.

FRSC and other law enforcement need to use brutal FORCE to ensure these drivers and their unions to do the right thing.

You never see anything, one foolish driver was making a phone call and at the same time overtaking two trucks on East West road. I corrected him and one lady said I should leave him that the driver is an expert and have been driving for years. I almost came down from the vehicle. angry sad

But what is the use of all government agencies on the road? Why do they allow such vehicles on the road endangering the life of people, what is the duty of the government with the power to control the regulatory agencies
