These guys don't know how privileged they are. Go on strike and watch someone replace you at once. You should be thankful that you earn in one week what some people won't earn in their lifetime in Africa.
[sic] in two or three lifetimes

they attend trainings all week before they play.... Oga if u Don play football for 90 mins before, you go know say eno easy to play 2 matches within a week....dem no be robots oh....

No sir, these players are actually given enough time to rest before each game.

Remember, in the EPL for example, each club submits about 24 or 25 players' names to the premier league body before the start of the season, therefore every team always has a bench.

It's up to the managers to work out how to manage their players' wellbeing with regards to fixtures.

Let them fight with their employers not the league...!

Every club should have depth to rotate players... Use your academy strictly and solely for less competitive tournaments like EFL and F.A.

Let other smaller clubs have a chance to win trophies too.

Top clubs should have designated players or second feeder teams to undertake less important fixtures.

Epl didn't force them to play all competitions.

Let's keep things objective.

You must not compete or win every tournament. tongue
it still goes down to d FA(they have veto power over all d rules concerning all competitions in England)..... Epl, fa, league Cup all are all connected... It should be reduced to only epl and FA Cup in my own opinion..... How many smaller teams have won dis competitions in d last 5 yrs except only Leicester City.... Na still big teams dey win am.... Make players get breathing space abeg... Don't forget international competitions as well, they recently jst came back from one... Haba

You are still refusing to accept the point...!

No player should play multiple competitions! Period!

The club should look within and rotate their squads.

Making players play full games within a space of 2 to 3 days is just wrong, especially when other players stay on the bench with few games.

In life, we can't have our cakes and eat them.

Prioritise competitions, and place star players in the most important ones... Let the reservs get full games in the less important ones.

I'm not saying they play all week, they train during the week as well and have days for recovery or resting as u said..... Now most of them jst came back from international break, they've played like 2 matches within dat short period, they'll play epl dis weekend again and don't forget d league cup....... If I dey play fifa or football manager na why ino dey pick English clubs bdat....

Ok sir

There is a revolution coming... And that is in the area of funding excesses.

Instead of paying a player 300k and above per week, most top clubs will become smart enough to split it among 3 players, and spread out the squad.

When such happens, such complaints will cease, and the football sector will finally be sanitised!

That also means teams will be better matched, and there will be better competition across leagues, instead of one or 2 horse races that have become the pathetic norm these days.

Alot will argue that ain't they getting paid... Shey make dem come kill themselves because of work?
Maybe the English FA should consider scrapping one of their competitions so they can be at par with other top European FA'S.
The truth is greed will not allow them because they make a lot of money.

When you and your greedy agents were pegging and demanding ridiculous and insane wages, I never saw clubs going on strike.

Play or take massive pay cuts!

The balance go reach una clubs sign up more players to properly and fully rotate the squads for fixtures.

Why should a top team involved in multiple competitions and fixtures not have massive squad depths to choose from?!!

You players, coaches, and club owners need to have a word with yourselves.

Maybe it's time to actually give youth academies a chance!

There should be players for certain fixtures, and others for other fixtures!

It's as simple as that!!!
That used to be a kind of tradition among top clubs until they started becoming too greedy to win all the trophies thereby using almost all first team squad. Before now, we used to see the likes of Arsenal using their second team which is mostly academy boys, same with Chelsea, Man U and Co untill they all started aiming to win at least a trophy, two and three like the over greedy Man City cheesy in a season and the whole thing changed.

God bless you!

I'm happy someone else gets this simple point I have been on since.

What would a player who played full epl or league game on a weekend be doing playing Carabao during the midweek?!!

Any player playing in UCL during the week should either be rested during the weekend, or play substitute.

Clubs should be reasonable and stop constantly trying to win everything at all cost.

The training they do every day in the sun coupled with the travelling here and there by plane is even worse than the football they are playing twice a week
Re: Man City's Rodri Warns Football Players May Go On Strike Over Fixture Congestion by Fibonacci88: 2:43am On Sep 18
Why is it only man city players crying about fixtures congestion. English championship clubs play twice a week and no one see them complaining. They are happy cos the more the fixtures the more the revenue. I don't expect a club like city to understand this. When u are bankrolled by oil money u don't care how other clubs generate revenue. I pray they are found guilty of ffp and relegated to the championship. Stupid club with entitled players
