I didn't think they will delist, they might restructure the business.

It is a conglomerate with interest in flour milling, agriculture, food production, sugar production, port management, real estate, fertilizer production, logistics etc

NERC recently issued their subsidiary, Golden Penny Power Ltd, a mini grid license.

Perhaps after consolidation, they can generate their own power in one massive factory for all their milling production. This should equally cut down on energy cost apart from the economy of scale

This is me just thinking a,b,c

Sitting on a $280b mountain of cash, said to be only half of his company's portfolio size, and refusing his loved one a humble request of $40,000 tied to a specific need, suggesting it's not a habitual pestering for money.........

Here is what a miser looks like, both in Africa and in America.
At 80+ what much time left does he have to share love?

You overlook the obvious: it's not as though he can't give her even $1 million but she wants to spend $40,000 on her kitchen and she can't afford it. You're the one calling it a need.

He was only saying that if you want it, you earn it. The entitlement mentality is a bane to any society, and that's why most developing "backward" countries have a majority of their population with such a mentality.

Meanwhile, the old man already said some time ago that his children will not get much of his assets when he passes away--he plans to donate most of his money to charity or a foundation.

My writing is just a satire and should not be assumed that I was referring to anyone.

Have a blessed week

And you had to use an igbo name to write the satire Tribalism is ingrained in the blood of every yoruba man. Spits

Maybe he isn't really a miser since he has donated all those philanthropic billions..
But somebody somewhere is probably enjoying a better kitchen out of his donations than his daughter humbly asked for.
Contrary to the wisdom of the ancients, his own charity does not begin at home.
In his eighties and blessed with awesome circumstances, he callously forfeites a joyous hug of gratitude from a loving daughter, in defence of some arcane principle, if the story is true..

He used two Igbo names in an illustration, one for good, one for bad. I didn't see anything tribalism in that. Relax bro

Cash is real but earning is an opinion.

There is usually a 70% probability that forecast will go wrong.

Uche can't just come out of his negative net asset and negative working capital by virtue of the purported increase in revenue.

In fact to harness the opportunities he will go deeper in debt.

It is not all growth that leads to profitability and it is not all profitability that creates wealth, it is not all wealth that is sustainable.

It is when the tide is over that we will know those that are swimming naked.

Consistent, huge cash-backed profits will resolve the problem for Uche (I just marvel at how you people have given Oando a new name grin)

On this matter of O&O

Financial Statement will be out and show what's up.

It is clear that the crystal ball did not reveal the turnaround on time to our in house experts. Nothing to worry about.
The asset of that O&O just acquired is jointly owned with federal government.

No issues with loans. Even IOCs use loans for both capital expenditures and operating expenditures.

There is something called gearing ratio. It is a measure of the effectiveness of loans utilized

O&O has achieved what no other indigenous oil and gas company has achieved.

Let's call it Uche, Segun, David, Babangida, Abidoshaker, Emmanuel, Mercy, Seun, etc.

More grace.

Good evening my people.

The week was a good one, stock wise. I do hope you all traded appropriately.

While it would be intellectually relieving to assume that we all have common interests, may I unapologetically state that not all posts here are worth your time. Some post are mischievous, phishing and deliberately misleading. Some are crafted to ride on the sentiment of the momemt with underlying intent to deceive. Also, some are righteously informative.

Please, always do your due diligence. You can not be too careful in this matter.

May you all have a great evening and happy weekend.

You can't have cash backed profit and you won't pay dividends, have a negative working capital and shareholders fund plus compounding tax liabilities.

By the way I was not referring to a stock on NGX

I dont get your point .
I was talking about what can lead to solving Oando's problem if it happens consistently i.e. in the future. So how do you know they will never pay dividends and wil always have negative working capital even if they make consistent, huge cash-backed profits in future?
