One more thing though, there is no way that speed is 120km/hr, not on that road at least. At 120km/hr no driver can afford to be distracted as reaction time is very short.
I doubt you understand the meaning of the above emboldened, you're just probably seeing it being written. If you admit you don't understand it, someone might explain it to you here. cool

120km/hr is about 75m/hr. If you can't drive at that speed and converse at the same time, then you never sabi drive.

Lies, not in Nigerian roads where you don't know if a broken down truck or potholes are ahead

A full charge taking you 350 km is quite substantial.

I'm not sure how much power, cost wise, is used to charge the battery for the 6hr required for max charging, but it must be significantly lower than the cost of buying fuel for the same distance. So it's an impressive feat, and would certainly make sense in the Nigeria market.

Though normally, electric cars are notoriously more expensive than petrol cars, and one can argue that the cost of buying the fuel would have been factored into the cost of the car. However, in Nigeria where the cost of fuel is increasing in arimethemetic (or even geometric) proportion, electric cars may simply be the way to go.

Good one Innoson.

Its cheaper

To drive from Awka to Lagos will cost you fuel not less than 80,000 full tank...you can buy more but this is the metric at the rate of 1,200

Then there is no way he will charge the car for six hours and pay an electricity bill of 20,000

It's cheaper trust me ! EV cars are cheaper

If I have money ,I will go for it and avoid all these

Change oil
Change gear oil
Change brake oil
Change axle oil
Service engine
Service gear
Service steering rack
Fix stabilisers linkage

You will avoid lots of grease and wahala

I think with time we'll see electric cars with back up powerbank or highly effective and portable inverters as plan B incase it runs out of charge also customizer solar panel
I think this is vehicle of the future
This fuel onslaught is just too much with this we'll have low cost transportation all over and with CNG being used too the overt reliance on petrol will plateau
And even the price of diesel and gasoline will go down as demands reduces
