❗Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin: "Unsafe means of communication. What's next? A series of explosions of various equipment - pagers, telephones, radios and other electronic devices - occurred in Lebanon. As a result, more than 3,000 people were injured and several dozen were killed. A planned high-tech attack could have serious consequences for the world. What happened in Lebanon must be thoroughly investigated. The very fact that household electronic devices were used as explosive devices requires appropriate investigation. The possibility of mass production of such “weapons” takes terrorism to a new level. This is a global threat to all countries. International institutions must develop measures against such crimes. Otherwise, no one will be able to feel safe. 7 Likes

🇺🇸⚙️🔽The number of U.S. manufacturing companies has fallen 14% over 20 years, with the steepest declines in the apparel, textile, and printing industries. U.S. manufacturing employment peaked in 1979 at 19.5 million and has since fallen to about 13 million as of January 2023. 🔖The U.S. lost its position as the world's leading manufacturer in 2010, with its output down $2.4 trillion compared to China in 2022.

🇩🇪 🛡⚔️🤍The West's military mistake: Germany and NATO face the undeniable superiority of Russia and the BRICS alliance ℹ️In the shadow of Russian power, Europe is faltering. Germany and NATO's military backwardness in the face of Russia is a wake-up call, revealing the flaws in a security that seemed unshakeable. The consequences of such vulnerability are abysmal, threatening to plunge the region into the darkness of instability and war. 🖥A recent article in Der Spiegel highlighted a long-standing issue that has been troubling Western security experts and policymakers: Germany and NATO’s significant military lag compared to Russia. ❌⚙️The data presented is clear: it would take Germany about a century to develop the military capacity to compete with Russia. This gap is particularly alarming for the West as a whole, especially in the current geopolitical context marked by the war in Ukraine and the escalation of tensions between Russia and the West.

🇹🇼📟🇯🇴Taiwan police are investigating Gold Apollo company over pager explosions in Lebanon, Taiwanese news portal Zhongshi Xinwenwang reported ❌📣Taiwanese authorities said that Gold Apollo did not directly export pagers to Lebanon. This was reported by the Lianhe Xinwenwang portal, citing Taiwan's economic department. 🔖Panic, just panic. The company has practically nothing to do except close down. As local media write, they are unlikely to get out of this. This is direct complicity in a terrorist attack. The Chinese are already joining in and joking, wondering how much dynamite is in a Taiwanese electric kettle? 3 Likes

🇲🇱💥🏴Yesterday the Al-Qaeda-linked group (banned terrorist organization) Jamaat Nusrat Al-Islam Wal-Muslimin carried out a terrorist attack in the capital of Mali ⚠️❗️The jihadists targeted the gendarmerie school and a military airfield in Bamako. Propagandists claim that the militants managed to destroy "a huge amount of equipment, including aircraft." According to preliminary data, dozens of security forces and student gendarmes were killed in the attack. 📣The Malian Defense Ministry confirmed the terrorist attack. The military claims that they are in control of the situation and are searching for the militants and their accomplices. ⚡Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan: Reasonable people need to step up and stop this madness. This madness is not only harming the Palestinians. It has also jeopardized the future of Israel and the Israelis. If you slaughter so many innocents, steal their land, dishonor them, you will remain under the backlash that this will generate for many years. You do not know when, how and where this reaction will manifest itself. This will keep you in a spiral of insecurity for decades and centuries to come. Any sane Israeli sees this, but the current fanatical and dominant mind is implementing a policy designed to completely destroy. 1 Like |

Vic2023:Absolutely. Weaponizing everyday gadgets for mass terror is a new low and a dangerous precedent for the world. The world is still in shock over Israel's act of unprecedented terror. And frankly, this surely will hurt Israel, America and all those involved in this more than it will hurt Hezbollah/Lebanon in the long run. The only thing special about the operation was its savagery, nothing else. China would destroy over half of the world if it was run by genocidal racists like Israelis, given its technological/manufacturing prowess. Rottennaija aptly captures what this is likely to throw up and how it will affect our lives here: https://www.nairaland.com/8217180/no-idea-how-what-israel#132065374 11 Likes 2 Shares |

🚨⚠️☠️ Pandora’s box is now wide open, and Mossad just handed over the key. Tuesday, in a coordinated cyber strike, pagers used by Hezbollah operatives across Lebanon and Syria exploded, killing and injuring civilians alongside fighters. If this old tech could be weaponized so easily, imagine the bomb you’re holding in your hand right now, your smartphone. This was no random act. Mossad showed its cards, and now we see the depth of surveillance tech; where your phone, your data, your very movements can be compromised, tracked, and manipulated. You are no longer just a user, you’re a walking target (timebomb). This is bigger than Hezbollah. It’s about every piece of tech you rely on. Israel just showed us that no device is beyond their reach, and the line between technology and surveillance has been obliterated. But there’s a path forward. It’s time to resist this growing surveillance state by demanding more from Apple, Samsung, and the rest. We need tech that protects us, not traps us. This is where Monero’s ethos comes in, privacy isn't negotiable. It's the last defense in a world where every device is a potential spy tool. Pandora’s box has been opened. The choice is clear: embrace surveillance-resistant technology or risk being compromised by it. 2 Likes

🇺🇸🇮🇱🇹🇼 US Terrorism, Tech Products, and the Enduring Importance of Tech Sovereignty ▪️As early as 2015, based on an already established US practice of compromising tech hardware on the factory floor, I warned about the absolute necessity for tech sovereignty; ▪️My article (under my Ulson Gunnar pen name) noted: "the NSA has once again given the world a reason to boycott US tech giants and those within America’s sphere of influence, and replace them with locally produced alternatives manufactured under tighter security controls." ▪️Nations like Russia and China began using locally produced processors and operating systems because of this, but almost 10 years later nations and organizations are STILL buying technology like consumers, tech whose chain of custody remains entirely in the hands of hostile actors before arrival/use; ▪️There was nothing sophisticated about this US/Israeli/Taiwan operation - it was made possible by nonexistent security policies, incompetence, complacency, and deep, profound ignorance; ▪️Even after the US and its proxies literally blow up 1000s of people with Western-made technology, nations around the globe will continue buying/using it for government/organizational/private use; ▪️America isn't dangerous because of strength or cleverness, it is dangerous because so many still lack the capacity to understand it is this dangerous to begin with; ▪️The Lebanon pager attack was a malicious but 100% predictable and preventable act of terrorism, responsibility also rests with Lebanese/Hezbollah security agencies for their inexcusable lack of vigilance; ▪️The US and its proxies have proven they constitute the greatest threat to human peace and prosperity - not just the US government, but the institutions and industry it represents/holds influence over - this latest attack demonstrates nothing that takes place within this sphere of influence is safe and avoiding/replacing it should be the top national security priority of every nation in the multipolar world; ▪️For Russia and China, making alternatives available for the expanding multipolar world presents a vast opportunity; The whole 2015 article can be read here: https://journal-neo.su/2015/03/29/it-independence-is-national-security/ 4 Likes |
