As bad as Elyte89's football philosophy is, which is the Haram Route 1/Yori Yori/Kati Kati combo... Onyedika will excel in that setup. That is just how good Raphael Onyedika is. His skillset and profile is suited to Tiki Taka, Gen Gen Press as well as Haram Route 1. Lol 5 Likes 3 Shares |

So the praise came from Nuri Sahin. A guy I have respected for years. Still Peseiro went to the Afcon and left Onyedika on the bench. 6 Likes 2 Shares

TheGoodJoe: Said this in June this year. Seems it still continued. No disrespect meant to Ndidi. |

TheGoodJoe:Agreed 100%. I think Ndidi has actually been very decent for Leicester so far this season with some very good assists btw. On a different note, the non inclusion of the maestro who is yet to feature in the EFL league 1 was downright criminality of high proportion. Anyways, hope the maestro keeps working hard and soaking up knowledge in the EFL league 1. 1 Like 1 Share |

Start Obafemi martins. Bench Osimhen and ighalo. Don’t call up emenike. Arrest yakubu for missing that goal at the WC!!!

Boniface has gone to do that his fake pass skill move in the UCL, €10 million added to his valuation. Very good game, playing more like an orthodox centre forward 4 Likes 1 Share |

Amedino99: His inability to show remorse for the missed goal was what really broke Nigerians hearts .Rather he stood with a smile on his face and chewing a gum while looking at the big screen to make sure the whole world is seeing him... 😂😂 There were Goliaths in that team...they wont play, they won’t allow others to play. To bench someone like Osazie, a young Nigerian who is passionate about the game, mentality balanced and active guy that could change the course of the game, is an evidence to this claim. How could Kanu start a crucial match like that? Lagerback was a puppet. he doesnt have the credibility to be called a coach. 3 Likes |

Goke7: Lol. His name is not obagoal for nothing. Martin’s shadow was a better footballer than emenike. I have no recollection of any highlight moments from emenike’s career aside the afcon 2013. Good player but largely forgettable. Won the afcon but it is not a trophy counting exercise. If that is the case, then fegor ogude > seyi olofinjana.. 1 Like |

Joezinho: Just say you forgot the player and you personally adore martins. Emenike apart from winning Afcon also won the golden boot at that competition. Yes his goals was that key. Can’t remember whatever martins did at Afcon. We can’t continue to use epl or European leagues to judge our players alone without their immense contributions to our profile as a soccer nation. 6 Likes 1 Share |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by AlhajiDanladi: 7:39pm On Sep 19 |
Goke7: Plus the comparison is rather baseless, Obafemi had a solid head-start to his career in Europe when he moved to Italy at 16 years of age and came through the ranks of Inter Milan. Emenike was one of those random players who was discovered while playing his football in Turkey in his mid twenties and wasn't even a Super Eagles player up until he got a late call up to international football in 2011. Obagoal was clearly the more talented player and had an overall better career, but Emenike scored more vital and clutch goals for us WHEN IT REALLY MATTERED (Afcon win and WCQs). 3 Likes 1 Share |

Joezinho:seems hard to say but I rate yakubu above the other strikers except for Osimhen. I'll start Osimhen Bench emenike and yakubu. No call up for Martin (he's not my kind of striker) and did not make much impact for SE 3 Likes 1 Share |
