At current price, Oando remains very attractive. Those who miss this opportunity will chase it at 100+. Watch out!

Due to news(SA) for Fidson I think.
It was posted yesterday.

They are entering into a plant manufacturing agreement with Chinese firms in Lagos Free trade zone.

Won't the price drop? Given that the original owners are pulling out?
Sales will likely come at a premium price.

Please house what is the implication of cost price being overstated in one portfolio.

My VFD cost price was overstated by meristem and I have been mailing them to that effect but they are yet to resolve it.
Overstated as how?
Has your bonus been added to your portfolio?

We should have understood these people by now na.
They only came to the market when they need funding that’s beyond their capacity.
And when they make enough money and the future looks much brighter, they have a rethink about their existence on the NGX and delist to go private and enjoy alone.
We too now have to be smarter and play the game with them accordingly.

I think there should be a gov policy to make such companies list to grow the NGX, just like the Buhari gov got MTN to list.

Btw did you see them declaring N300b profit? If they were listed it will be loss they declare with all sorts of excuses like FX losses. The ways companies cheat investors and escape taxes is too much.

I believe that any business generating over $1 billion in revenue, including government-owned enterprises, should be required to list on the stock market. This would greatly enhance accountability and transparency within our socio-economic landscape as a nation.

Yes but the cost price is way higher than my entry price before adding bonus.
For example if I bought at 190 is it not suppose to be 190/5=38 that supposed to be my new cost price but they put 74.43 instead.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chimex38: 11:12am On Sep 20
If PZ are selling their Nigerian subsidiary, then after post-sale, what does it benefit a foreign company with better Forex to still be listed on NGX and yet have no physical presence In Nigeria? lipsrsealed

Probably, they would still delist in the near future
Just thinking...

UACN
Quite a lot of bids.......
Someone somewhere is playing game...... smiley
Placed single offer of over 4M, then removed it again....
His intention is to drag down the price from the look of things....
If you have your UACN, hold it for now......

*my opinion....if you think otherwise, you're the CEO of your portfolio, follow ur findings or instincts.

I wonder what you regard as fundamentals, so because company have fx issues and still in profit just that the margin has reduced now translate to no fundamentals.

People will never seize to amaze me here..

This is where a vibrant shareholders forum comes in.
But that aspect of our investment community has been polarized and watered down badly.
I remember the days of Sunny Nwosu and co in the 1990’s who would fight for shareholders rights and corporate activism to keep management of listed companies on their toes and instilling corporate governance.
All those things have been destroyed by brown envelop tactics.

Lol.
What happened there was an average price of the previous cost price + the price of the new bonus added.

For instance, if your cost price (before bonus) was 190, then price of the bonus comes as 45 (current market price), then, the average cost price should be calculated based on 190 and 45.

However, if you check your cost value, you should ordinarily be in profit now.......

Whatever loss you might be seeing now should translate to profit for you once the share price appreciates OR you pick more to average it down.

I equally believed the "Selling Price" has been factored into the cost price, reasonthe cost price is still up as well.........but still request for Meristem's explanation anyway.
OR if anyone have better explanation pls share.

Tpharell:

Africa and the rest of the developing world cannot achieve the level of industrial revolution the west experienced in the 19th & 20th century without fossil fuels. The power requirements of a large scale car plant can hardly be generated by today’s available renewable energy sources. Haven’t heard of one powered by windmills or sunlight.

It is almost inexplicable that the same west that used petroleum and coal to catalyze its industrial revolution are now preaching climate change and green energy to those on the cusp of industrial development.

How can Nigeria generate enough power to boost it’s abysmal wattage and overcome it’s crippling power challenges, if not by a source even more revolutionary than fossil, a source like nuclear?

Maybe they don't want those who are down to climb up.
They want to remove the ladder

Did you say shareholders forum/association? Does Nigeria have any that's checking these companies?

I feel those parading themselves as association are probably on the payrolls of these companies?
