Re: How The Media War Between The United States And RT Affects Nigeria. by naptu2: 7:52am On Sep 21 |
Emperormartin: The Cold War was a struggle between the United States and the Soviet Union. It was called a cold war because both sides did not actually fight a military war against each other (that's a hot war). However, both sides engaged in proxy wars. They created conflicts between other countries (America supported one side and the Soviet Union supported the other), espionage, coups and they basically destabilised the world because of their rivalry. It looks like a form of cold war is back. 2 Likes 1 Share |

The west will not fold its hands and watch Africa liberate themselves. They will come up with different accusations, proganda and lies. The west and projection. They're the ones that budgeted billions of dollars for propaganda as has been revealed in their budget hearing. And this is one of the outcome of such budgets 1 Like 1 Share |

This issue is deep. A shift in political power is likely to occur soon. All I pray for is that there should not be bloo****d everywhere. The best option is to simply watch and stay alert. David Hundeyin must exercise extreme caution or risk becoming involved in an unexpected situation. I believe he has diluted his pure journalism with too much politics. And he has gradually chosen a side to align with. It is dangerous for a journalist to go in this direction. It may be too late for him to revert to his previous neutral journalism. I hope he can get out of this mess as soon as possible. He does not even hold another citizenship. Hmmmm. Russia does not give out citizenship so easily. You must give something substantial to qualify. If David wants to be happy in the future, he must take a step back. 1 Like |

Emperormartin: The text I posted doesn't include the question and answer session, but if you watch the video, one of the State Department officials said that the media have often asked them why the Global South have not been more supportive of Ukraine (despite the fact that Russia invaded Ukraine and was the aggressor) and he said that the reason is because RT had been spreading lies in the developing world which has affected the way that people view the conflict. He said that's one of the reasons why they need to take action agains RT. 1 Like |

Western imperialism. Anything not coming from them is usually attacked and shot down. They only want us to listen to the rubbish propaganda dished out by CNN and BBC and other Western media organizations. They frown at contrary views yet they claim freedom of information and democracy. 1 Like 1 Share |

What the United State has done can be likened to a case where a country's leader, being of a particular religion bands the literature & media of other religion under the pretext that they're false. It's like tinubu closing down Arise TV & AiT for being pro LP & PDP respectively. What I see is the west trying to regain control of the narrative especially in the global south. The pro Russian and pro Palestinian movement has come at a great shock to them, They've tried to completely isolated Russia but it's not just working because of alternative news media. Now they're clamping down, tik tok, telegram, RT , African stream are all just a start. I only hope and pray that Africans can see things for what they truly are. 2 Likes 1 Share |

David Hundeyin has tackled western imperialism too much lately. From exposing western interest in making sure Africa never get ability to refine it's resources to the role played by the west in shielding Tinubu and making sure he came to power and their interest in doing that. I know they'll come for him. He needs to be very careful |

Re: How The Media War Between The United States And RT Affects Nigeria. by chronique(m): 9:09am On Sep 21 |
The west wants to tell the entire world what is happening in the whole world and they want it to be told in their own way, and through their own channels and how they deem it fit. They don't want the world to have an alternative view point. Anyone who subscribes to this is simply an ignoramus. I should to be very pro America and would swallow anything from the west but ever since I found out their real intentions and started searching for truth myself, my position has changed. I'd rather hear the views about what is happening in Ukraine from both the west and Russia and make up my mind on what the truth is. |
