This iheanacho wey make me never miss any Sevilla match this season so far no deserve a spot in super eagles unless he starts performing

Bobo don wash 🧼

I thought Sevilla would be his redemption arc to regain his form back but it's looking like a bad fit so far...the best time for Iheanacho to have left Leicester was 4-5 years ago when he was still at his best, unfortunately he wasted his prime playing second fiddle to Vardy and even Daka.

Solanke scored for spurs earlier today oo 🤣🤣

Oh I didn't even know sef grin

I actually rate Solanke and hope he somehow commits to Nigeria cause England isn't going to happen for him. I'll definitely take Solanke as a depth player over the likes of Awoniyi and Iheanacho without the least consideration.

They have very good wingers in Dodi Lukebakio and Childera Ejuke.
They are very good and dangerous.

They need a good center forward.
Isaac Romero and Kelechi Iheanacho do not impress me.

They also need a decent backline, because they concede cheap goals.
For me Nacho is not and should not be use as a centre forward. If he's not playing behind a stricker then he should sit on the bench.

he is a big liability to the team when deployed behind the striker

Football of this era requires more work rate in the midfield which iheanacho doesn’t hv. Off the ball he is useless, just strolling around waiting for others to get the ball and pass to him

He lacks that energy to gallop up and down the pitch and to put in tackles as required in modern football

but in a sane footballing nation players are called up to the national team base on current form and how active they are in their respective clubs

You indirectly pointed out a good example with Awo’s current predicament in Forrest. He got injured, Woods was called upon and since then he hv been delivering for the club. It’s left for awo to utilize every mins he gets off the bench to show the current coach that he deserves his starting shirt back

Making a team shouldn’t be based on sentiment or past exploits but current form

I fundamentally do not disagree that form and merit should determine who gets called up to the national team, and that wasn't what I was directly addressing. It's the notion that Taiwo was "washed" I was countering. That couldn't have been based on objective facts. The vast majority of Forest fans frustration with Taiwo has nothing to do with his game but his injury. He was on their no sell list just a season ago.

I personally think he should be excused from the national team for now just like I believe Kelechi has no business in the national team, but form doesn't always determine callups to national team all over the world. There are outliers like Coaches preference or sometimes fit. Maguire for example was top on Southgate's list even when he was not playing well for Man U.

Very humiliating loss for Joshua.

Joshua's legacy took a huge dent.

On CURRENT FORM yes they are

Solanke has yet to score a single goal at Tottenham
Awoniyi is at best a bench player at Nottingham

Football just like facts never agrees with your feelings.
in which world is Tolu and Josh better than Taiwo and Solanke? Tolu have been shuttling Belgium and France second division without doing anything serious, Maja have been around for long without doing anything serious with his career abeg no let one or two goals in dead leagues deceive you

If you're talking about club performances, then that's debatable, but if you're talking based on National Team (Super Eagles) performances, then I beg to differ.

I don't like making comparisons but since you decided to bring it up, then let's talk about it. We'll look at some simple stats. Globally, strikers are judged for their goals, so that's the metric I'll be using. Ready?... Great. Let's get straight to it.

1) Taiwo Awoniyi has 2 goals in 9 matches for the Super Eagles, meanwhile Cyriel Dessers has 2 goals in 6 games for the Super Eagles.

2) Sadiq Umar has just 1 goal in 11 matches for the Super Eagles, meanwhile Cyriel Dessers has 2 goals in 6 games for us.

3) Victor Boniface has just 1 goal in 8 matches for the Super Eagles, meanwhile Cyriel Dessers has 2 goals in 6 games for us.

4) Terem Moffi has 4 goals in 18 matches for the Super Eagles, just 2 goals more than Cyriel Dessers, even when he's played times 3 of the matches Dessers has been involved in.

5) Paul Onuachu has 3 goals in 25 matches for the Super Eagles, meanwhile Cyriel Dessers has 2 goals in 6 games for us.

Overall, Dessers has played just 322 minutes for the Super Eagles. That's approximately 4 games, yet he's scored two goals.

So, my brother, looking at those stats, do you still think those players have performed better than Dessers in the National Team? Numbers don't lie. Facts don't care about feelings. The only strikers right now with very decent numbers for the Super Eagles are Osimhen and Iheanacho(who many don't even consider a striker).

I don't even want to talk about the fact that Dessers was the highest scoring Nigerian in the whole of Europe last season. With the way he's been scoring this season, he may end up doing it again.

LMFAOOO so what's Awoniyi's level? playing for a mid table club with no single G/A this season? I'll take George a million times right now over Awoniyi
Alhaji, lovewins has given you honest opinion on Awoniyi but it seems you don’t want hear any of such.

Yes Awoniyi doesn’t deserve eagles call up for now but you are too hard in the man with your word “WASHED” …….or you forgot the same Awoniyi was unplayable In Nottingham Forest and singled handedly saved Forest from relegation, even last season he came back and start from where he stopped and after three matches he got injured again, even missed pre season and league is just 5 matches up but Awoniyi to you is a WASHED…..the man that scored against Liverpool,Chelsea,Arsenal and Manchester United.

I agreed with you on his call up but you are too harsh on the man.

Awoniyi is not washed. He us just recovering from injury. By November or even earlier he would have recovered. Dis well in Germany now doing well in England. Saves nottingham from relegation. He is still good. Just injury and he will soon recover.
If he gets over his injuries a big club might buy him. Yes I mean it his development showd he deserves a big club. He is very good

He had better recover fast and get back to form cause Nottingham are looking for a new striker next transfer window who is younger to replace him according to reports on their subreddit...he might end up in Turkey at this point cause no top club will risk spending big money on a striker with his injury records.

All the people you mentioned in this write up apart from Boniface should be given phased out especially Onuachu, Sadiq, Moffi, Dessers,

Awoniyi and Iheanacho on probation for now. But those four I mentioned should be completely let go of.
