Not wrong at all. He did d right thing and Catholics worldwide understands. He is telling dem dat whatever u do to d least of ur/my brothers, u do unto. It means whatever hthey gave those in need, he is the one dey gave it to.

He could av collected the money from all doz that wanted to give, den call those dat needed it n give to them himself.

But instead, he used it to pass an important message/lesson.

Which seed is greater than the seeds sowing in the lives of the needy? This is where most people get it wrong, you must not give it to the priest before you can receive the blessings of God, infact God values those who sows in the lives of the needs than those who show of' on the clergymen or the congregation just to have something in return.... Remember the verse that He (God) said, He will reward those who doeth good in the secret in the open.
