This Man City goal is painful!!! 😭😭😭😭😭

Arsenal were primed for the 3 pts but thanks to Oliver who spoilt it all and changed the dynamics of the game.

Now it will end in a draw. 2-2.

Bros nawaoooo 😳

It was a foul yes but didn’t warrant a card

What about following with kicking the ball away? You can argue the first foul does not deserve caution but that is totally not true. He was not going for the ball but going with full force to do what?

Then clearing the ball after the referee has blown.

Mbok, fear God.

EPL refs will never change. Now he's made himself the story of the game.

How do you give a card for that in a game if this magnitude?

You gats to be kidding me. The first foul is a yellow all day. It was rough play and no defending. Then clearing the ball.

Haba, lie to yourself small small. grin

All the explanation about trossard getting the 2nd yellow is practically ruse. He got booked for barging into the City player. That was the original reason. But it really wasn't enough a reason for him to get booked a 2nd time. They had to explain it away. Man City got away with murder. Stop the shalaye thing you are doing oga

It was clearly enough. He targeted the player and went in hard, to do what? Hurt the player. That is a clear yellow card offense. If he was shading for the ball, then you can argue. But going to hurt a player, is a clear yellow card.

Also that corner kick incident was a clear foul. I don't see Gunners complaining.

How can going to intentionally hurt a player not warrant a yellow card?

This stat today though. Ouch.

But even though, even though.... that red card changed everything and Arsenal would be walking away with 3 pts if not for that Red.

Unlike Gunners, if the referee blew a penal for that tug on Gabriel, I will acknowledge it. Gunners will argue it. grin

With the way Arsenal players sandwiched Ederson, I can understand why Gabriel's headers are deadly in corners.

Corner tactical masterminds. And they are still angry with the referee.

Gunners.

with Aina and Osayi I think we are covered in the RB position.

In LB we have only Bruno for now (don’t know what’s happening to Zaidu at Porto), Aina can also play in that position if the need arises. I would love to see an experiment of Torunarigha in the LCB position and Bassey as LWB (if the coach wish to go with a back 3 with two wing backs)

In the CB position the only reliable duo we have current is Ekong and Ajayi, with Ekong gradually coming to the end of his international career it’s ideal to start the search for a possible replacement and if we are lucky to hv Tosin that will be awesome but if we cant then Ogbu should be eased in as the heir to Ekong while the duo of Fredrick and Vince should be monitored closely

In the CDM position we have Ndidi and Onyedika. Onyeka can also do a job in that position but I prefer to have him as a B2B midfielder/CM. Also Hamzat of Lens is in the corner waiting for an opportunity to show what he can do in that position too

In the CM position Onyeka and Uche fits the position perfectly while the CAM position is as well covered with Iwobi and Bashiru. Empoli’s new signing and ex England youth teamer Anjorin should be watched closely for a possible integration in that position

the flanks we hv Chukwueze,Simon, Tella,Mola and Ejuke. Sor of Genk should also be tried to see if he can bring something to the team as well as serve as an understudy to others

Cf position Osimhen and Boniface hv the position taken care of. Another inclusion in the position depends on the form of others like Awoniyi, Moffi etc. In form Genk striker Arokodare and Monaco’s starlet George Ilenikhena may also be considered as back up/understudy.

Goal keeping position is covered with Okoye and Nwabali

Then Trossard messed up. Truly he has been quite a heady one since his days at Brighton under De Zerbi. He cost his team 2 pts.

The Prince of Monaco’ Victor Ikpeba has called on the Super Eagles to get George Ilenikhena on the back of his heroics in the UEFA Champions League.

Lagos-born Ilenikhena made history when this past week he became the youngest Monaco player to score in a UEFA Champions League.

His match winner against mighty Barcelona eclipsed the record set by Kylian Mbappe.

The 18-year-old striker was also named the Man of the Match.

Ikpeba, whose time at Monaco was the highlight of his glittering career, told SCORENigeria the former Antwerp striker will be a most welcome addition to the Super Eagles and so everything be done to convince him to change international allegiance.

“I have been following the remarkable progress of the boy, he’s quick and will certainly be one for the future for the Super Eagles,” said Ikpeba, who credited former Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for convincing several players born overseas to opt to play for Nigeria.

“I know that he has already been capped by the French age-grade team, but we can still get him to play for the Super Eagles.

“It will be a tough battle to do this as we can see that (Michael) Olise has already opted for France, but I believe with the right and timely approach, beginning with getting to his family, he can go on to play for the Super Eagles.”

He added: “We already boast many proven strikers who are doing very well in Europe, but he is certainly one for the future and we should do everything to get him.

“This is the time to get him in and thereafter he can fight for his place in the team.”
