The palace was largely neutral in 2020 even sympathetic to Obaseki - Obaseki managed to drag the Oba and fight him
All the HoA members he refused to swear in have their loyalists in the street
Most important he led the chant against godfatherism, In this election, Asue is the one with a godfather.

The field was very level. until Obaseki's shenanigans caught up with him and tilted the field against himself
How can you fight that many people and expect to win, Almost every day, One person is defecting from Edo PDP
